While she was crying for help no one even paid attention to her. They were all running for their own life
She started hearing loud scary voices coming from men she assumed to be giants. She looked back and saw them leading so many children, teenagers, men and women in her direction but these people were all being held captive
One of the soldiers seized her suddenly. and included here with the people they were leading awayDifferent scenarios started running through her head "will they kill us for sacrifices to their gods, will they beat us every day, I should have just stayed home to eat plain yam with mama Asungbowo"
They kept on walking and they were leading them towards the deep forest far away from Olunini village
She got more scared with each step she takes
After walking till dawn they finally got to a nice looking village that looks busier than the Olunini tribe
She was too hungry to hear what the villagers were saying to them
They were all pushed down to bow before a nice looking palace and wait for the king to decide what to do with them
All Asungbowo wanted was just to eat, sleep and wake up beside her mother because she still can't believe she is far away from her village.
The King came out and they all shouted
"Kabiyesi o "
The King looked at them all and pronounced that all the captives should be put to work at various departments in the king's palace
Asungbowo's role was to grind pepper for the cook in the kitchen.
She was given a small room beside the kitchen to sleep, the cook fed her and told her to rest before resuming her duty in the kitchen. She was happy because she thought she will finally wake up from this horrible dream and promised God that if she woke up at home..she will never disobey her parent nor will she ever lie againWas it all a dream?
