Stella banged her fists against his back, trying to squirm free, but it only made Jason chuckle. "Let me down!"

"Not happening." Jason's voice was playful, but there was an undeniable hint of possessiveness to it. "I'm making sure you get to breakfast."

He walked down the stairs, ignoring her protests. The whole dorm hall seemed to notice as he carried her toward the dining hall, and Stella's face turned beet red from the attention. She couldn't bring herself to look anyone in the eye.

Jason didn't care. In fact, the more eyes that turned to them, the more he seemed to enjoy it. He marched through the dining hall with purpose, Stella's body pressed up against his, flustered and helpless to do anything about it.

Frederick, at first, looked confused, glancing between Stella and Jason. But as realization dawned, he pushed himself up from his seat, his posture tense. "Leave her," he said firmly.

His smirk widened the moment his eyes landed on Frederick. That was just an added bonus. Without hesitation, he dropped her gently next to Ruby.

Ruby, caught in the middle, just blinked, clearly unsure of what was unfolding before her.

Ruby and Frederick exchanged confused glances. Jason looked at them, his tone nonchalant. "She fell down the stairs. I'm just taking care of her today."

Jason ignored Frederick completely. Instead, he leaned down, his breath warm against Stella's ear. His voice was low, teasing. "Don't tell Freddy," he murmured, his tone laced with amusement.

Stella stiffened. Her face turned red, she couldn't face them. Her stomach twisted in embarrassment, and she simply stared at the table, wishing she could disappear.

Before he could take another step, Frederick's hand shot out, gripping his arm. "Don't bother her, Davis." He said, voice firm, his green eyes sharp with warning.

Jason simply scoffed, yanking his arm free. "Relax, West" he muttered before strolling away toward his own table, hands stuffed in his pockets.

His friends were already watching, clearly entertained by whatever just happened, enjoying the scene unfolding before them. And just like them–Jason was enjoying this way too much.

A smirk tugged at his lips as he reached his table, leaning back in his seat as if he hadn't just caused a scene.

Ruby was the first to break the awkward silence. "What was that?" she asked, her voice low but full of curiosity, clearly taken aback by Jason's behavior.

Frederick's sharp green eyes flickered between Stella and Jason, something unreadable crossing his face. His jaw clenched slightly.

Before Stella could respond, Frederick leaned forward, his gaze filled with concern. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?"

Stella shook her head quickly, trying to shake off the embarrassment and put on a brave face. "I'm fine," she muttered, her voice small. But the truth was, she wasn't entirely fine. The whole scene had made her feel exposed, embarrassed, and more than a little frustrated.

Frederick seemed to hesitate for a moment, then smiled lightly, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, if Jason's going to treat you like that, maybe I should carry you around instead," he said, his tone teasing but sincere.
