Here, in this unoccupied storage room, Minjeong and Yerim were doing some warmup before the show.
"keep going." Yerim moaned, legs clinging on Minjeong's waist as the other girl pinned her against the wall.
"don't get too loud. People can still hear us."
Upon saying that, Minjeong felt her dick getting squeezed inside Yerim. to mute the girl, Minjeong crashed her lips on Yerim's, containing all the sounds she'd make.
"you're getting good at this." Yerim panted, caressing her cheek with her thumb.
"thanks, I guess." Minjeong looked away in embarrassment.
"we'll continue after the show?" Yerim asked.
"sure thing. Not here, though." Minjeong looked around the messy place.
Yerim just giggled. They both fixed themselves and got out individually to avoid any suspicions.
-
"yo!" Giselle grabbed both of Minjeong's shoulder.
"you're watching the concert?" Minjeong sighed.
"every alumni were invited." Giselle leaned on the DJ table. "got some upgrades?"
"just for this. I've never showed any live mixing before." Minjeong suddenly got nervous.
"are you nervous?" Giselle stated the obvious.
"absolutely." Minjeong did a little adjustment of her equipment before going down the stage with Giselle.
"hm... it's okay. Believe in yourself. Do or die, right?" Giselle said the words that she used to use for Minjeong every time she's anxious about something.
"do or die..." Minjeong looked up the stage, imagining the people that'll bee watching and other possibilities that might happen during the show. She's a little overthinking right now.
"chill out. you'll rock the stage."
-
Minjeong waited to be called by the staff. There are no seating since they provided an exhibition for the guests. So she just stood there beside a sculpture, watching the stage. Bands, dramas, and percussions, all she enjoyed well. Not to mention the dance team. She almost died watching her girlfriend killing it on the stage. That doesn't help her ease her own worries. She's still nervous. All her research depends on this stage. If she fails, there's no going back.
"thinking of something?"
"sort of, yes." Minjeong looked up at Jimin. She then felt a hand on her back, moving up and down. Rather than calming, it sends shivers down her spine.
"you're one of the best here. Every teacher talks about you. I don't think that you need to be worried." Jimin turned to face her fully. "we're all expecting your performance." Jimin leaned to her ear.
Minjeong sighed, watching her walks away into the crowd.
-
Feeling a little pressured, Minjeong braced herself. She started looking around while playing her track. Started at 120bpm, she noticed a few people bopping their head and tapping their foot. Good start, she thought. Moved to an instrument, she added a little freestyle into the track. Just a keyboard and electric guitar are enough to bring up the tension.
Minjeong noticed more people started looking at her as if interested. Some of them walked forward, waiting for what comes next. Minjeong struggled a bit but managed to do her things fine. Having to move around her instruments while keeping an eye on the crowd wasn't an easy task and she had to do this for about two hours.
Coming in 125bpm, a girl started dancing in front of the stage. A bit of resistance from the rest but one is enough to get it going. She squinted her eyes and saw that it's Yerim who's dancing freely in front of her. she smirked in satisfaction, gaining her confidence back. slowly, people started gathering around the dancing girl. All eyes on her, moving their body to the rhythm. Minjeong amped up place. In the span of 10 minutes, she's able to control the crowd.
Here comes the magic number. According to her research, 128bpm is the perfect rate to get the crowd moving. Slowly increasing the tempo, she didn't realize how many people dancing right now. the exhibitions just seems like decorations to them. Other than that, Yerim is now dancing with her mother. The dance from the two got Minjeong a little startled. What was that? did they trying to seduce me? she thought to herself.
Regardless, the show must go on. The crowd started to get crazy, giving compliments here and there and cheering for Minjeong. Perfect execution. Minjeong kept the BPM steady. To avoid any boredom from them, she added some mixing and freestyles in between.
For two hours, Minjeong succeeded her job. Even though they want more, Minjeong had to step out of the stage.
"don't think I didn't notice that." Ryujin approached her backstage.
"what?" Minjeong said while packing her stuff.
"Yerim and Jimin. Don't tell me you didn't see them. They're like, hunting you." Ryujin nudged her arm.
"you're exaggerating. They're dancing like the others." Minjeong put on her bag.
"you're being too humble." Ryujin giggled. "straight back home?"
"yup... you wanna come along?" they walked together outside the building.
"I need to take Yeji home. Then I'll come over." Ryujin patted her shoulder then walked to her car.
Minjeong leaned on her own car, waiting for Yerim. she pulled out her phone to check on her texts.
Cherry: omw ^^
Jeongie: ok
Not long after that, Yerim approached her. Minjeong greeted her with a smile and a kiss on her cheek.
"you can eat on the way." Minjeong gave her a paper bag. Opened the door for Yerim, she then went in to driver side.
"did my dance distracted you?" Yerim smirked teasing the girl.
"a little. gave me a boost of confidence, though." Minjeong decided not to bring up her mother who's also distracting her.
"you also noticed my mom, didn't you?" Yerim said, eating her fries.
"can't say that I didn't." Minjeong kept her eyes on the street, glancing at Yerim at some point.
Yerim didn't say a thing and Minjeong noticed that her lover is getting sad, probably feeling a little jealous. Minjeong put a hand on Yerim's thigh, caressing it with her thumb. It calms Yerim down at the very least. It reassures her not to be worried.
"you're really good at this girlfriend thing." Yerim huffed at Minjeong's attentive manner.
"I just don't want you to doubt me."
