Lani was sitting on her couch crying on her mom's shoulder. She just had her first heart brake. She thought Zack wouldn't be like every other guy in her school who just brakes every one's hearts.
Steve and Kio never liked Zack in the first place they new something was off about that guy.
"I hate boys why are they such idiots?" Lani asked her mom
"I don't know Lani but if all boys are stupid then so is Kio and Steve!" Lola answered
"Well they are stupid sometimes."
"Fair point so is your father." Lani smiled at her mom that was holding her in a tight hug
"Ah, Steve's here. Thought you might need a friend."
She saw a truck's light shining trough her living room windows. Then she looked at her mom and she said to her daughter
"Go!"
Lani got up from the couch and ran to the front door and opened it and rani in to Steve arms hugging him
"Hi!" Steve said to Milani
"Hi!" Lani smiled at him hugging him again
"I went to the party but you weren't there. Thought you went whit Zack."
"He broke up with me so yeah here I am!" Lani laughed

Kio is going to college after the summer and she's going to be left alone with her little sister.
Lani sat next to Kio on the couch and he asked
"What are you doing this summer?"
"I'll hang out with you dummy!" Kio poked her in the tummy and she giggled.
"Yeah ok but what are we ganna go huh?"
"Can you teach me how to surf?"
"Ah that's easy!"

Summer is almost over and the Hale family are throwing a party for Kio because he's leaving for college in a couple of days. Lani hasn't seen Steve all summer so she was very excited to see him.
"Lani get the door!" Her mom shouted
"Ok, ok your literally by the door mom!" Lani said as she walked to the door.
She yanked the door open to see a familiar smile. Steve had changed over the summer he was mute taller he's a little darker and his dark brown hair was a little shorter then it used to be.
Steve couldn't talk. Lani was wearing a tight dress with flowers and her hair was in to a bun. Some of the baby hairs have fallen out over the day. Her body had filled out into curves and you could see all of them in that flower dress she was wearing.
"Hi," he said with a little smirk
"Hi," she answered blushing a little bit
Steve's mother Doris smiled knowing that the look they gave each other. Doris walked past them and went straight to Lola.
"Hi, John and Mary!" Lani said hugging Mary
"Steve has a crush on Lani!" Mary sang and walked in to the house
"No I don't!" Steve said angrily Lani just laughed.
