we were both calm yet distant.
her yellow piercing jewels that glared up to my emeralds.
i knew she was threatening me.
i knew she was growing intolerant by the day.
yet i still kept her hidden.
even if i do feel her claws down my back.
her hunger, her anger, her pain.
she wants to hunt till the lumberjack is no more.
till i was no more.
only stains that would match my red cloak.
yet i still control her like a canine.
even if she does howl under the twilight.
her leash would only tighten.
but there will be a day she will come alive.
her black coat will become my silhouette.
and she will become bigger and stronger.
for she is the beast that's chained within my heart.
