Hands touch, eyes meet,
sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl.

Becca and Raph made eye contact and she could feel her cheeks neat up. Slowly he started to lean closer. Instinctively, she pushed him away. "Oh, look it's April!"

With that she stood up and walked away, trying to settle her pounding heart down.

He could be that boy,
but I'm not that girl

She watched as Raph, April, and Casey watched a random movie, something with a little bit of romance in it. Becca admired as the two heroes kissed, confessing for their feelings for each other. In that moment she saw Raph quickly look at April.

Afraid that she would strangle April, Becca left the three to the movie.

Loud and blunt, what sort of guy would like that. Yeah, she was confident but so was April and April wasn't loud or blunt. April was good with words, good at science. She was smart and everything a guy could ask for.

Becca watched as Raph and April trained, digging her nails into her skin. April was better for Raph, not her.

Maybe it was just her imagination, or maybe it was real. April had made Raph laugh. He never laughed, at least not with Becca.

Becca looked at herself in the mirror. Brown hair against red, green eyes against blue. April was normal height while Becca was shorter then normal. How could she compare to that?
