When I woke up I saw Chris and Brian just chilling in the room. They saw I was awake and they invited me on a tour of their place. I accepted and we left the room. So apparently Chris was abandoned by his mom and eventually had to live with Brian and his father. Then Brian's father died and they didn't want to be in an orphanage so they ran away to their current hideout. As I followed them around their hideout I see other people chatting and joking around. "Who are all these other people here" I asked. "These are other people that had no family left just like us." said Brian. "So you think I was abandoned?" Chris gave be this confused look, "where did you get that idea?" "Well you said I might be like you and Brian and so I thought you meant that I was an orphan." I was so confused. Is that what they meant? If not what did they mean? "Oh! No sorry I didn't mean that." said Chris. "Let's take a seat this will take a lot of explaining to do." Brian said.
They led me to this dining area and we sat down at the table. They explained to me that the Greek myths were all real. They said that they are both children of a god and a human parent. Chris was a child of Hephaestus and Brian was a child of Athena. They briefly talked about the fact that there is a camp for demigods but didn't know where it was. I was asked if I had any powers or a clue of who my godly parent was but I answered no because I had no idea.
We continued to talk about our likes and our dislikes and what we wanted to do with our lives until this bell was rang and everyone in the hideout sat with us at the table. We all said our prayers to the gods and then ate some food. I ate some tacos and rice. It felt like I hadn't eaten in days. I eventually look up from my food and see a bunch of happy smiles. I for some reason already felt like I was home. That I was safe.
After dinner was over, Brian and Chris led me to the girls dormitory. They assigned me a bunk and then left. I sit down on the bed and instantly took notice on how comfy the bed was. I made the mistake of laying down and as soon as I hit the pillow I fell asleep.
Author's note: (Hello and welcome to this week's release of "I can't remember..." I am sorry this is only one chapter and a short one at that. This week of school was full of testing so I didn't have much time to write. I will hopefully have more chapters for next week. Until then I want you to think about a couple things. Such as, who do you think are the godly parent(s) of Marissa? Who do you already ship? On that note, have lovely day/night!)
