5 DAYS LATER

Malvika rushed into the chamber. The news wasn't exactly a good one.
"Raj I-", She paused as she stared at the dark underground room, it was packed with people who stood in a stunted silence.
She saw Vanraj's form from a distance, he sat, bent on his knees, before the body of a woman.

Malvika felt like her heart skipped a beat.
She looked at Raghu stand in a rapt silence, he looked down at his dead wife, unable to cope with the shock that was overwhelming. She quietly walked in, the silence was so profound that the sound of her shoe hitting the cold concrete floor echoed.
Raghu looked at her, his eyes red with tears. Vanraj remained unmoved.
Malvika drew in a deep breath and knelt beside him.

"Raj.. It's okay..", She said, trying to sound as comforting as possible. Knowing her words could do very little.
"She tied me rakhi this year.", Vanraj said in a hoarse whisper. Malvika noticed a tear finally roll down.
She drew in a deep breath, placing her hand on his shoulder.
"I-I have spoken to Surya.. We will find the killer and personally see to his death.", She said, blinking off her tears.

Raghu spoke up, "It is he.", He said softly.
"Him. That Rehan.. He-he killed her.. right before my-my eyes-", The man spoke unmoved, drained of all emotions.
Vanraj looked up at him.
"Why?"
Raghu looked him straight in the eye, a wild revenge coursing.
"Your friend, Boss. That Anuj Kapadia must have told him about Zener! He must have! And that son of a bitch killed your rakhi sister, my wife for his bloody revenge!", Raghu spoke out of raw anguish.

"Are you sure? Bhai? But-"
"I have a clip of him, Malvika!", Raghu shouted.
"I asked him to not meddle into things he knows not about.", Vanraj said in a cold whisper. A dangerously cold whisper.
Another tear rolled down.
"Raj.. Please.. Don't do anything stupid.", Malvika said in hope that she could stop him.

Vanraj wiped his tears off and stood up.
"Give her the burial of greatest honour. I have a punishment to give-"
"Raj! You know if you hurt him Anu-"
"It's not about Anupamaa anymore, Malvika.", Vanraj replied sharply.

"Someone will have to bear the consequences.", His voice was icy. Raghu remembered this voice, he had heard it before his Boss had shot Zener on the forehead since Zener had teased his rakhi sister.

This time it was murder.
And Lucifer did not know mercy.

.

Anuj sat very silently in his office cabin. He looked pale to some extent.
"Anuj, what has happened to you? You look scared to death.", Anu said as she unpacked their lunch box.
She had decided on dropping into his office for lunch, but he seemed totally zoned out.

"Anuj?", Anu asked again as he snapped out.
"Yeah.. yeah.. no nothing, it's just office work.. clients and all.", He mumbled.
Anu knew he was lying.
"I understand. But if you need to talk you can.", She said placing her hand on his, "Anytime."

He forced a smile and nodded.

It was only two days ago that Rehan Tehsilwar had entered his cabin. The man had a gun. Unable to process what was happening, Anuj had sat frozen on his seat. Rehan had pointed the gun on his forehead.
"Mister Kapadia, I saw you enter a corridor of the Wright Manor on the CCTV. Care to tell me what you heard there?", The man had asked menacingly.

Anuj had gulped nervously hoping for an escape but had seen none.
"You answer me quick or I press the trigger.", Rehan had stated coldly.

And with due regret and survival instincts he had blurted out the truth. Rehan had simply smirked.
"I knew it. I knew I had heard right.", He had whispered to himself before leaving the cabin.
