"Arrey yaar, remove these marigolds! Put roses there. No! Not the red one! Yeah yellow. Good.", Vanraj was shouting at the decorator guy irritably.
He suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Don't disturb me, today is the wedding and I need everything perfect-"
"Raj-"
"Mukku, you see I am a busy man. Already that Anuj is throwing tantrums because supposedly he is not looking good enough. As if Anu will marry me if he doesn't look good! Drama I tell you!", He went on with his ranting as Malvika sighed. It was the same date, the date Anupamaa and Anuj had married owing to a spectacular turn of events. More appropriately, destiny.
And it was their eighth marriage anniversary when they decided to marry once again, this time with all the rituals, properly.
The haldi and mehendi had gone perfectly well, with everyone joining in with legit happiness. Mukku had called over her boyfriend Surya and Anuj had thankfully approved of the ACP.
The kids had no idea what made their parents decide on doing this but were having their fun anyways. While Vanraj decided to be the wedding planner, since Imperium was known for planning and executing such large events.
Also because if he didn't Anu had threatened him about never giving him any home made theplas."Raj.. Bhai is calling you!", Mukku said finally.
"Again? Why?", He asked sighing.
"You go na! Anyways you are the only ladkewala except me.", Mukku said pouting. Vanraj sighed and nodded.Anuj stood before the mirror in his dressing room, displeased with himself.
"Papa, you look cool.", Maansi said exasperated by now. She was sitting on the sofa in the room wearing a beautiful golden and red ghagra with a frooti in her hand."You are not understanding Princess.. I have to look the bestest! After all I am marrying Anupamaa! But..", He said settling his gorgeous sherwani.
It looked like a rather simple one, but looked gorgeous on Anuj. A Prussian blue with a diamond and gold broach on the chest, and golden embroidery on the collars. The golden buttons ran diagonally across his physique."Papa, Mumma will marry you only. Even if you wore her ghagra and went, she'd still marry you.", Maansi said sipping on her frooti.
Vanraj walked in.
He was wearing a solid green sherwani with a similar golden embroidery on the collar and buttons, without the broach.
"Hey Luci! Looking hot!", Maansi said grinning.
Vanraj smiled, feeling giddy."Ahem.", Anuj said awkwardly. Last time he remembered one of his acquaintances calling Vanraj hot was Mukku, and well it hadn't exactly gone too great. Somehow his wild imagination said he could do great without his daughter having a crush on the Jungle King.
"Maansi, check on Mumma and come once.", He said. Maansi sighed.
"I have to do all the work here! How is this fair, Kanha ji?", She said to herself as she walked out.
"Um.. Your daughter can be kept in the museum along with you, I guess.", Vanraj said amused.
"Vannu!", Anuj snapped, "Am I looking good enough? Because Anu will look like a goddess!""Anuj, if she is a goddess, you are looking like a God. Indra Dev and others are on their way to attend your holy wedding. Now will you come out please? The pandit said he wants you there.", Vanraj said sighing.
Anuj nodded and looked down at the mehendi in his hand."Anupamaa" written in beautiful handwriting with some really artistic floral designs.
"I don't know why but this wedding feels special. There is no stress, no problem, just serenity and peace.", He said to himself and drew in a deep breath.
Anuj looked up at himself. He picked up the golden pagdi and wore it.
"Naah, I do look like Prince Charming.", He said to himself finally grinning.
