{alice pov}

one day
she saw her.

a white rabbit in this land of darkness, untouched by her
rotten soul.

and she wanted to fight for her.

but she fought against her.

she finally saw through the clandestine acrylics made of plastic and lies, so flimsy compared to her star kissed power that for so long had been used for murder. and she realised that she was wrong.

and from far above the sky, the planet neptune whispered:

alice, my darling, you can fly

and so she tried to be the hero that the people though she was.

but the rotten city tore her apart.

for even heroes can fall.

their tool gone mad under pressure, they said,

and the people mourned the death of a murderer they called a hero.

at least she died as one.

but

she

did

not

die.
