It has been 4 days now, since we first left Highland.

Since neither of us know Teleport, we have to continue to ride the Water Dragon that Makoto had made.

It had been a cycle of traveling, sleeping, waking up, then traveling.

As for food...gods don't need to eat. But even if Makoto is a god, he still has a mortal body. He won't die if his mortal body dies, but that just means he will be in a kind of soul form, until he is powerful or experienced enough to form a body of his own.

He can let longer without food than before he was a god, but he can't not eat forever. He just decided to power through the hunger for now, since he can make it to Rozes before he starves.

"Ah! I can finally see it! Rozes, the Water Country!" (Makoto)

I look at him from behind, and see the wind brushing past his excited face.

He seems to be really looking forward to going back to Makkaren

Oh right.

How am I looking at him from behind?

Well, our souls aren't fused. Well, they kind of are, but kind of aren't.

We both share the same body. But it isn't mine, of course. I don't have control over it. I can seperate myself from his body as my soul form, and fly around in a set distance around him.

I can see, hear, and feel outside the body, but my senses are dulled, and I can't affect the outside world. Nobody other than Makoto can see me either.

I can also stay inside his body, and see, hear, and feel what he does, and can communicate to him. There might be other things...but we haven't really tried to figure it out yet.

Figure things out...huh

We are finally here!

The first town I visited after leaving the water temple.

Out of all the places, this is the one that makes me really feel like I'm home.

The city of Makkaren, in Rozes, the Water Country.

Counting the time I was in the past , it has been years since I have been here.

I desperately want to see my friends again.

Mary, Jean,  Emily, Lucas, the boss at the skewer stall, and others.

I might have been called a hero, but I guess I'm an adventurer at heart. I really miss the atmosphere of the Adventurer's Guild.

But...no matter how much I want to see them, I can't just fly into Makkaren on a water dragon.

So I make sure to land near Makkaren but in a place no one can see.

I make the dragon descend, and we land in a nearby patch of trees, near the gate of Makkaren.

"You're really excited about this, huh" (Nevia)

We continue walking, while Nevia decides to talk to me.

"Oh, you can tell? I didn't think you knew me enough to know that." (Makoto)

"Haahhh, idiot. It doesn't take much knowing you, to tell how clearly excited you are." (Nevia)

Huh. Really? Am I that easy to read?

This is it!

I pass through the giant gates of Makkaren.
