Chapter 7

I wake up in my bed.

2 days had passed since Nevia's adventure.

After I had a talk with Mary, I gave the body back to Nevia.

It is now our 5th day here in Makkaren.

"Haah...it is our last day here...huh. It really feels like we just got here." (Makoto)

I estimated around a week, before the authorities can make their move.

2 more days until they get here.

Of course, I'm not going to wait that long.

So I'm planning to leave Makkaren today, and get to our next destination.

I jump out of bed.

But before we leave...

"I'm going to have to say bye to my friends again, huh. I wonder when the next time I can see them will be? Will I even be able to see them anymore?" (Makoto)

I put on my clothes, and leave the manor.

I have to say my farewells, after all.

"Hmm...why did I feel so...sluggish?" (Makoto)

("Maybe you just didn't get enough sleep?") (Nevia)

Huh. Probably.

I start making my way to the Adventurer's Guild.

I stretch.

"*yawn*, what great weather today, huh. Clear skies and all. Almost absolutely nothing there." (Makoto)

In a leisurely pace, I continue walking through Makkaren.

("Makoto? Is there something wrong?") (Nevia)

"...Something bothers me. But I can't tell what it is..." (Makoto)

Something isn't right.

It is as if something is missing.

With these uneasy feelings, I arrive at the Guild.

"Hey Jean! Emily! Oh, and Note your here too." (Makoto)

Of course, I'm not going to leave without saying goodbye.

"Awwww are you really leaving already? It hasn't been that long since we reunited though..." (Jean)

"Yeah! And we didn't even get to see Aya and Lucy this time!" (Emily)

"You're right, it is a bit sad to leave early, but you know, I still have duties to attend to. But don't worry! I'll definitely visit every now and then." (Makoto)

"M-M-Makoto-sama! G-Good day to you!" (Note)

Note then bows his head.

"You don't have to do that you know? It wasn't even me who saved you guys." (Makoto)

"N-no! I have to! I wouldn't dare disrespect you, who is the Master of the person who saved my life, and the Rozes Hero!" (Note)

H-how earnest....

I don't really mesh well with these types...

"A-anyways...is Maya-sam-Maya, going to go here?" (Note)

"W-well, I'm not sure. Y-you know how she is, as aloof as a cat." (Makoto)

Note makes a super obviously sad face.

("...Nevia, you definitely have to come here and say bye to them.") (Makoto)
