Chapter Five~ Ivy

It had been about three months that had passed, and Brianna had grown farther from me and Jinx more than ever. Jinx accepted the fact Brianna didn't want to associate herself with her anymore except for meetings and the upcoming election. Though me and Brianna still hung out, we didn't tell Allie because we knew she'd be cross about it. I had bigger things to worry about anyways, Jinx and I have come a lot closer, and I planned on proposing tonight where we had our first date! I was going to pick up her tonight, I was super excited and had Anna's blessing too. I had been planning this for about a week and Anna knows everything.

I began to get ready, and I slipped on a minty green dress with laced flowers. It had puffy short sleeves that I didn't like much but were tolerable since the dress was pretty. I had curled my hair with leftover cloths from sewing and put it half up-half down. I put on a flower crown Jinx had made me a while back and slipped on my white flats. I had the ring with me, and it was an emerald. I put it in my bag along with a poppy flower.

Batman rubbed up on me and flicked his tail before I left my house. I made sure I had everything then set out for Jinx's.

Arriving upon her house she had definitely been waiting, she was already on her porch with her things. She jumped out of excitement when she saw me and ran up and hugged me.

"I have a girlfriend-" I said sarcastically to her.

"Yeah- me!" Jinx let go and tucked some of my hair behind my ear. She had a pretty outfit as well as I, it was a long dress like mine. Her dress was light blue with white laced butterflies and had long sleeves that come off the shoulder. For being wickens you'd think we were all dark and gothic all the time.

"Ready to go?" I stepped beside her and locked arms.

"Are you going to actually tell me where we're going?" She asked me with an eyebrow raised.

"You'll see! Now put this on!" I gave her a cloth to put around her eyes so she couldn't see where we were heading.

I guided her best I could to the docks, she tripped a few times and almost ran off the docks. If she did fall off the docks I probably wouldn't have done anything but laugh.

"Okay so just hop down here but be careful or you'll fall into the water!" I tried helping her by grabbing her hand guiding her onto the small boat. She jumped down and rocked the boat a bit, I almost fell into the water and we just laughed.

"Be careful you might fall for me again." Jinx said, pushing me a bit.

"Oh hush- we're almost there, I just need to paddle the boat."

Arriving upon the lake house I guided Jinx out of the boat and past the swim area. She clumsily almost slipped on the stairs on the bridge.

The island we were on has a beach house and a smaller island with a bridge connecting the two has a small waterfall and pond. It's where me and Jinx had our first date.

The sun began to set and we approached the small island. I had decorated it the previous day with flowers and candles. I murmured the fire spell and the candles lit themselves.

"Ready?" I asked Jinx while I got ready to untie the cloth.

"Ready." She reassuringly replied, I untied the cloth and she smiled widely. "Our first date location..." her eyes got really soft and had small happy tears. "this is so sweet—" she turned and hugged me.

Deep down I felt a bit guilty. Seeing Brianna behind her back, but I loved her. This is what i wanted, i think—

Brianna had been trying to convince me to not be with her. I knew she didn't like Jinx but I also knew I had a small infatuation with Brianna. Deep down I also loved Brianna.
