"I need the social media team to start teasing the June issue featuring Hilary Duff, keep it at a two post maximum. Tag the glam team, the photographer and include a phrase from Hilary's interview in the caption followed by the release of the issue." I tell my team as I look around at all of them. "I still want the Scarlett Johansson feature so get me in contact with her team by tomorrow latest."

"Which cover will we be going with?" A member of my team asks as they hold up the two different issues featuring Hilary Duff.

"We are going to run the first cover." I answer while taking a sip of my iced latte, "The second cover will be going into our limited edition series that we will be releasing at the end of the season. I want exactly fifty copies of the second cover and I would like for them to all be signed by her."

My meeting with the team goes on for another forty minutes as we talk about our sale progress, digital covers and the different distributors that we are in talks of working with. I love being a businesswoman but the pressure is on now that I am carrying my first child as my time is now being split between ensuring that I have a healthy pregnancy and running my business.

I started working as a personal assistant to a fashion editor straight out of high school for a local fashion magazine. I worked there for three years before getting an internship with Elle magazine which helped me learn a lot more since they sold magazines on a global scale. I was there for three years before I took a year long business course which gave me the qualifications that I wanted to start my own business.

When I took the risk of creating my own fashion magazine, I only had three employees who would help me do everything and now I have over two hundred which is insane. It was naturally a slow start to the business side of thing since I was unknown but as I started showing off my style online and attending fashion related events, my presence began to grow.

"What are you doing here?" I gasp as I see my husband standing in my office with a bouquet of white roses. "Those are beautiful."

"Just like you." Chris pecks my lips and I smile up at him. "I knew you were going for this color scheme hence why I went for white roses and not your usual."
