Ohm felt like Jenni had the boys under some sort of spell. Since their arrival they were behaving cutely as if their fight during the whole trip – and the days before – was a long gone forgotten memory. And Ohm could understand the reasons for that. Jenni had showed them her little shop, placed at the garage of her house. It was a little space where she could produce her beautiful pieces. They were paintings with landscapes and mysterious places that looked taken out of a fairy tale, marvelous sculptures made by different materials, craftworks and what else she could produce with her own hands. Ohm wasn't very skilled in arts to judge properly, but it was clear she was very talented.
While the kind lady had shown them her most recent projects, it became more and more evident to Ohm that she was indeed the twins' mother. She was gentle like Fluke, but also had Cooheart's energy. He smiled to himself after recognizing this fact.
They had arrived there in the middle of the afternoon and in the blink of an eye the day passed covered with laughs and stories shared. Ohm thought that the boys had got over their problem, but at the dinner, the dormant bomb finally exploded.
"It's very nice to see a young man like you thriving to start a career on another country, Ohm!", Jenni complimented him.
"Yeah, t-thank you so much, Mrs. Jenni!", Ohm stuttered before the unexpected compliment.
"Please, call me mom, silly!", she smiled at him, a wise spark twinkling in her gaze.
"Sure… mom!", he blushed.
"I wish my Fluke could follow your steps, you know?", she said with a dreamy voice.
"Mooom~", Fluke whined from his seat.
"What? I'm not asking for you to go abroad, pumpkin!", she raised her hands in defence "Just saying it would be nice for you to take that scholarship, my love!", the woman shrugged drinking a sip of her glass of wine.
"I know, mom! But at this point I don't even have a choice anymore! I guess the deadline is already over!", Fluke commented a bit torn – he couldn't explain if it was regret or resilience.
"Thank God I hacked your email and sent the application in your place.", Cooheart spoke for the first time in a while.
"You did what?", Fluke faced his brother in surpise.
"Yeah, I've sent your documents and other information to them! Your semester starts in 3 months! You're welcome and congrats, bro!", Cooheart raised his glass towards the table, expecting Fluke to show some gratitude.
"Cooheart!"
"Coo!", their mom was also surprised.
"You didn't have the right!", Fluke finally found the words.
"Yeah, because I would sit and watch you waste your life like that! What are your plans after graduation? Come back to the province and become what Fluke?!"
"This isn't of your concern! And you hacked my email account! You invaded my privacy!", Fluke said checking his phone as if it was enough to see if someone else beside him had read his emails, messages and notifications.
Cooheart chuckled low and then teased his brother. "I guess it doesn't count as hacking if all I did was to type 'fluke<3ohm' – that's an awful password, by the way! Didn't you ever watch technology experts saying people should create difficult passwords to avoid situations like these?"
"I can't believe you did this, Cooheart! How could you betray me like this!"
"You're talking like I've pushed a sword into your heart, brother!", Cooheart accused, furrowed brows, his sudden light humor instantly fading because of Fluke's yelling.
