*Maya's pov*
*One week later*
I just got home from school, and Zack invites me to a group call, with hunter and him. I accepted it and I was greeted by a bunch of hello's. I give out a chuckle.
"So what's up?" I ask.
"I just want some more info on us being these 'detective's', and the money situation." Zack said with a big smile.
"And I'm wondering about is staying at the hotel in general." Hunter finishes.
"Well I haven't gotten any more information on us being there as their detective's. But they said they would let me know by tomorrow." I answered.
"And for the hotel- we were supposed to stay there for the first week of spring break. And be back by Monday but it might change due to this." I said as I held up a couple of pages of paper.
"What does that say?" Zack asked. "It's a Bunch of paperwork the police sent me to confirm that we give permission that if anything happens to us then it's not the police's fault but it's the police's responsibility to deal with it." I said while staring at the papers.
"Oh- ok-" Zack said a bit confused.
Just then I get a email from the head police department l.
"Who's that?" Zack asked.
"Why are you always up in everyone's business." Hunter said, shaking his head, in disappointment.
"It's the police department -" I said staring at my laptop beside my phone that that we were have the call on.
"Oh what did they say?" Hunter asked. Zack rolled his eyes after hunter asked that.
"They asked if we're available to arrive a couple days early to help set up." I said reading the email.
"What about school?" Hunter asked.
"Well I don't think we will worry about that." I said looking back at my phone for a minute then turning back to my laptop screen."
"How is that?" Zack said looking closer at his screen.
"They said if we're willing to arrive a couple days early they would pay us double." I said shocked.
"Your right!" Zack said.
"Wait really?" Hunter said confused.
"We half to go! We're getting paid double! That's- that-" said stopped jumping up and down to figure out the double amount. "200 grand bud." Hunter said in disbelief and disappointment. "Right-" Zack said in a loud whisper.
"Ok so I'm assuming we're leaving in one week then?" I said.
"Yeah, but what about our teachers?" Hunter asked pulling his laptop out of his bag.
"Well let's just sent a private email to our teachers and make sure to let them know not to tell our classmates about this untill we get back." Zack said with a shrug.
"How! I didn't know this side about you!" Hunter yelled. In surprise. I just stared at my phone looking at hunter and him looking at me.
"Ok then- we have a plan." Then we all opened up our laptops and emailed our teachers and reading each one out to each other. Making sure it makes sense.
Then we played Minecraft together for a couple hours." Then we put our stuff away and played in our beds in silence, four half and hour untill I spoke up.
"Hey,there's a new swimming pool that just opened up do you guys wanna go the day before we need to had to the airport for the hotel?"
The flight would take 18 hours in-total to get there. So why not spend time at the pool before we leave.
"Like again what about school?" Hunter asked.
"Why don't we just skip school that day and hang out together then head to the pool straight to the airport?" I asked. "Sounds good to me!" Zack said. And hunter agreed. "Ok I'll check out the pools website and let you guys know you two keep talking." I said pulling my laptop back out of my bag. "Wait- what about our suitcases?" Hunter asked.
"We can just go to Maya's house and put our stuff in her truck then hang out there untill we need to go?" Zack replied.
"Again! How." Hunter yelled.
"I don't know." I said still looking at the pools website. "Hey! It says here that the pool has a movie theater right beside it. Do you guys want to head there before the pool?" I asked.
"Yeah! That would be sick!" Hunter exclaimed.
"Ok yeah! I agree!" Said Zack.
"Ok! What about that new Batman movie?" I said.
"Yeah! Sure! I've heard it's a good movie!" Said hunter.
"Like- the one with Robert Patterson!" Zack said jumping out of his bed.
"Yeah-" I said scared, for what's going to happen next.
"Ok! Bye guys see you tomorrow love you guys!" Zack said running back over to bed and hung up.
"Who's going to let him know that it's Saturday tomorrow?" I said as I am shaking my head.
"I don't know!" Hunter said as he gave out a long chuckle."welp, night! Sleep well!" Hunter said still giving out a little laugh.
"Same go's to you! See ya!" I said back.
