Zack & Hunter

part 13

*Zack's pov*

I fucking hate funerals. Hunter and I got ready and met up at the graveyard. For the funeral.

"Man I fucking hate this." Hunter said teary eyed.

"Yeah, I just wished her life could of ended in a better way." I said wiping my eyes with my hand then putting hunter on his back.

After all the depressing speech's we all walk up one by one and plack a white rose on her coffin.

Hunter stays a couple hours longer and I tell him to meet me at the hospital when his done.

I walk up to the front desk at the hospital and ask for a room number.

"Which room?" I ask the man at the desk he rolls in he's chair to the lady beside him and the lady points at the screen Infront of her.

"217, it's just up the stairs and second door to your left." The man said.

217. The same room number. As the hotel. I blink to snap out of my thoughts.

"Thank- thank you sir." I Replied. I stayed silent and didn't blink once for the rest of the way.

I walked up to the room and opened the door. It was empty. Nobody was in the it was someones things but nobody to be found. I see a nurse walk by in the halls. I jog up to her.

"Hey excuse me ma'am- do- do you know where-" I said stuttering I usually don't studder but after this morning. No way I couldn't.

"Ah! Follow me! In the kids play center. With your sister." The nurse replied.

My sister is 6 years old turning 7 in the next few months. She's been staying in the hospital for cancer. It started in her right leg and spreaded to her right side and arm. She's still really active I'm just scared how long she will make it.

We walked into the play area and I just see a bunch of kids and adults in blue gowns playing. Then I see her.

"Maya! What are you doing! Your supposed to be resting!" I exclaimed.

"Zack!" She runs towards me and I engulf her in a hug.

"Ow-" she weinces.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I said really concerned.

"It's ok it wasn't on purpose." She said holding her stomach.

"So how was the funeral?" Maya asked me.

"It was alright. It hit Hunter much more obviously."

"Yeah, I'm still upset I couldn't go." She complained.

"Hey! Bro! You got fuck shot in the stomach! Don't be upset!" I said giving her a much smaller one.

"Hey? When is hunter getting here?" She asked. Right as she says that hunter walks in.

"Hunter!" Maya squeals and hugs Hunter.

"Hey, Maya." Hunter said with a fake smile.

"Hunter listen. I know it's hard losing someone like that but everyone goes through it." Maya said giving Hunter a soft smile. I walk up behind Hunter and pat him on the back.

"Hey man, do you even know what specifically happened?" I asked him.

"Woah! Big words for you! Bucko!" Maya said shocked.

"Hey I went to school! And your there too!" I said I'm defense.

"Well anyway, back to your question. My cousin committed suicide by overdosing. She overdosed with her depression pills. And like why would they give her depression pills that aren't nontoxic?!" Hunter said looking down.

"That is so stupid she just got out of a psychic hospital? Like a year ago! And she was there for like what? 3 years!" Maya exclaimed.

"Yeah your right!" I spoke up. We all waked back to Maya's room and hung out untill hunter left. Then Maya and her nurse got set up for the night and I took out my laptop and asked Maya.

"Movie?" I asked holding my laptop up.

"Yess sir!" Maya yelped. She moved over so there was room for me on the bed. I put the laptop on my lap then asked Maya which movie.

"Easy, the shinning." She said with a smirk.

"Of course!" I said and rolled my eyes.

I turned the movie on and Maya laid her head on my shoulder. I did a silent smile then we continued to watch the movie.
