At school Justin R. was drooling over this girl Kari, the problem was she was only into baseball players, so he had to get on the team. A team that dad coached, however not the school's baseball team. Justin was gonna try out to impress her, my Justin and Jack were gonna try out for fun, Alex's current crush Riley was gonna be on the team too. But the funny thing was after school, when Alex told Harper she was off the clock for work, and I was working and Harper asked her for a sandwich, Alex said the only they were they still there was to look at all the cute baseball players on the team. Watch the funny part is was that our brother was on the team, and he sucks at sports.
Riley was on the team, my Justin was on the team and Jack was on the team all the guys were on the team. I smiled over at them. The guys came rushing over. I see you guys made the team. Great job. Max was really into this whole thing, however he was too enthusiastic, and loved trash talking. He was adorable like a ball of sugar. I giggled at the thought. What's on your mind the guys asked me hopping up onto the counter.
Get down! I scolded pushing them off. I just cleaned there. Now get over here and help me. Not like Alex is actually doing any work, here's your sandwich Harper. I said handing her the sandwich she asked Alex to make for her. However when Harper was getting ready to flirt with our brother, she ran off, Justin walked up to us and told us he'd done a really bad thing. I was shocked, Alex was curious.
You doing something bad? I teased. He turned to me and reached out for me but I jumped back before anything could happen to me. He turned back to Alex. I used magic to enchant the ball into dad thinking that I was good at baseball, so that I could make it on the team. For now just use magic to stay on the team the good news is the other 3 guys are also on the team by skill and can help you. But I'm not like you Alex I don't break the rules like you do.
Look Justin, I said coming to stand next to him, I placed a hand on his shoulder.... Do they make the tallest basketball player play on his knees? No. Do they make the strongest and fastest swimmer do the dog paddle? No. Justin magic is the thing that makes you special why shouldn't a wizard use magic? You may have a point. Dad was so proud of him, he congratulated him on winning.
Then Kari came up and started talking with him. But he was speechless, we had to talk him through it. At the first baseball game, we went to it. Alex told Riley that she was their good luck charm and when she's there that they'd win. Max was trash talking, and was gonna get in trouble. And because the other team struck out, and they won Riley believed Alex. However when Justin was doing to good, dad got suspicious and called Justin over he realized that he cheated by using magic, and how disappointed he was that he did that.
Justin told dad that we told him to use magic, Alex he believed, but me he couldn't believe. My Justin and Jack told him what I really said, that I was just trying to give good advice, not convince him to cheat. That it's not Alex's fault. Dad told him to loose the game on purpose on the second game. They had won the first time, and since Alex knew they'd lose she didn't want to go or Riley wouldn't think he was her good luck charm, so for the second game they lost, and Riley came back to see Alex and it was clear that she was right that she was his good luck charm.
The fall dance was coming up and she wanted Riley to ask her to go with him to it, so he said if they won, the next game he'd take her. Dad told Justin that instead of using magic and instead of being bad at the game that he should actually practice and that my friends could help him out. That Justin admitted that he was just doing this to impress a girl.
Alex told Harper that as long as she as at the game this next time that our team would win and Riley would take her to the fall dance, and I'd stay home unless she needed me. At the game dad was watching carefully, dad and Justin were very confused by what was going on, and dad made Justin use his magic to counter it out. Dad figured out it was one of us specifically us.
He made me do the erasing mind spell, so that everyone would forget what happened, including us. But no matter what happened dad still thought Alex had something to do with it. But the team still won, and Riley still asked her to the dance, when we all returned, everyone was still confused but dad was still convinced Alex did something which she denied. Then dad said she was grounded.
What? You can't ground her for something she didn't do, sure she did it at first, but not this time. Justin didn't get punished?! You have no proof if Alex did anything the whole game is a blur and the team still won! I pointed out. Besides if you ground her, she'll still go. I'd cover for her, I'd clone her, and make her not fade through. You can either just let her go because you can't prove she did anything to sabotage the game even if it seems like something she'd do, but didn't, or she'll sneak away, and go to the dance anyways, just be caught in the end after a long night of fun and then accept her punishment after she went with her crush to the dance.
Or you can compromise, and she can still be in trouble but ground her after the dance that way everyone gets what they want, and Justin doesn't have to keep playing, and not cause problems everyone wins. I like THAT idea. Dad says. Yeah I can agree to that. Same here I was planning on quitting the team anyways I suck. Good. Not good that you suck good that we're all in an agreement.
