Everything is not always as it seems

Uncle Kelbo

Today (outfit 54)we were all in the lair, our oldest brother was giving some presentation that he was told to do some topic off of, but it took so long to get to the end that I don't even remember what he was talking about, and when all the guys had gone, by topic, and it was Alex and I's turn since dad knew Alex probably wouldn't do what she was being asked. So, that being said she turned her crystal ball presentation into small earrings. Ok well then, Farrah I guess that means your up.

I went to the front of the "classroom" I opened my mouth to give our presentation, but then a strange man dropped into our lair unannounced, and everyone was so excited to see him. Uncle Kelbo! They all cheered. I was shoved to the back while everyone rushed to go greet him. Kelbo what did I tell you about poofing in here unexpectedly? Oh right it sets off the smoke alarms.

I just wanted to come see my niece and nephews. Actually Kelbo there's more than one of her, but you might not remember her since Crumbs stole her away when the two were born, but maybe he took the wrong one. Well where is she I only see the 3? I'm here. Oh, you must be Farrah, I remember when you were born. Yeah that's me. Hi. Hi Uncle Kelbo nice to meet you he said shaking my hand. I'm your dad's brother.

So, what are we doing today? We're giving magic presentations without doing magic. You know you guys are wizards right? Nah, nah it's ok I kid, after all I wasn't the family wizard, but its what I always say those that can't do teach, and since your dad can't do magic he can still teach it even without doing it with magic. When we tried to get back to the lesson, Kelbo passed out presents.

Don't worry I've got something for you too Farrah he says as he does another spell. These are for you and your friends. You've seen Harry Potter? Remember the invisibility cloaks? Yeah! They ripped them off from the real wizards. Have fun. Our Justin had opera gum, Max had a leprechaun answer blower and it only answers yes or no questions, and Alex had a device that read people's emotions.

Dad was angry that no one wanted to continue with the lesson. Kelbo said dad was right, then asked if we wanted to go to the zoo. I said dad I would love to keep going on with the lesson. Uh huh nice try points for trying kiddo. Correction who wants to go to the zoo as a monkey? You're gonna turn yourself into a monkey? We're all gonna turn into Monkey's. When dad tried to stop us from going Kelbo said ok let's talk about it, but then we flashed away. Yeah thanks good talk dad said.

When we came back it was just in time for the basketball game, at first Alex decided she didn't want to go, but when Kelbo said he had tickets for the game in the wizard box to see it then she wanted to go, and while we were away before we came back, mom and dad were having a disagreement over that it was good thing Kelbo was here but that dad didn't like that he was stealing us away and no one wanted to learn the way dad wanted to teach it.

But this was my first time meeting Kelbo and the rest of them I guess never get to see him a lot, and I guess I understand why now. Alex said let her go get a jacket, and was gonna go get mine for me. The purple skull one from the 10 min sale please and thank you. Where are you going you're a wizard just zap it right on?

You're right. When Alex puts the jacket on mom complains that she was using her jacket, Alex said I'm sorry mom let's talk about it but then we flashed to the game, and mom was all like nice talk. At the game, the only bad part was we had to cover our ears when the buzzer went off, and Kelbo taught us a neat spell. A spell to make the other wizards heads spin, and if we didn't want our heads to spin then you have to hold you head still. The spell was cranium revolvus.

While we were there we told Kelbo about how our brother Justin was getting theses secret admirer notes, but the funny part was it was Alex, and she had me in on it too, the moment Kelbo mentioned getting a Genie involved though I stopped listening and I frowned. See the deal with the wizard box is that we can see and hear everyone and everything that's going on but they can't see or hear us.

Alex mentioned that learning magic from Kelbo was better than learning magic from dad since Kelbo could actually teach us with magic. I didn't have a preference as long as I wasn't trapped at the wizard school as Crumb's prisoner. At school the following day Alex came up to our Justin with me and he was talking about his plan to catch the secret admirer, and then he frowned we knew we probably didn't want to hear about his stupid plan. His words not ours.

It's not stupid Justin, tell us your plan I encouraged. I think Crumb's was wrong about you he should've taken the other one of you instead. Anyways he told us about his plan, and then when Alex and I were late for practice, we were with Kelbo in the old west and Alex mentioned that it was ok that Kelbo had been teaching us magic the last couple of days and how he said he could be our trainer, but Kelbo had meant that he could teach us pranks that real magic was our dad's job.

However, Alex decided for us both that we really learn better doing then teaching, which to some extent I agreed with, since I learn better hands on then lectures. Dad said fine because sure she was gonna show up on time for his lessons vs dad's lessons and then it was settled. I didn't have a preference to who taught me, I was just kind of along for the ride trying to have fun with an Uncle I never knew, knew that I existed and that I never knew existed period since I had been abducted by Crumb's.

Alex made the lunch lady pretend to be the secret admirer. Justin thought it made sense. While in the lair the guys were all learning how to disappear and reaper 10 feet at a time and ripen fruit, we were having different kinds of fun, however once the guys all left from the lair, Kelbo mentioned something sorta like time travel, and then the wizard mail came, but then Alex was hesitant to do what he wanted us to do, Kelbo didn't know how to teach magic or magic lessons he only knew how to have fun with magic, and then we opened the sea chimps and water was everywhere, it came with it's own water, but then we couldn't clean up and it was a disaster and Kelbo didn't know what he was doing.

Somehow at some point we transformed into the sea chimps, even though we didn't cast a spell. At school the couch came after Justin for writing love letters to his girlfriend the lunch lady our brother tried to explain, mom was there probably to pick us all up from school asking to see one of the notes deciding that Alex or I was really behind this whole mess. And then everything got solved.

When there was water coming out of the lair, dad made the guys do the 10 feet spell to get him into the lair and he gave Alex and I the spell to make it all go away. After making Alex admit she was a big knucklehead when he found out we had opened the sea chimp package. Then all the water was gone, and Alex had a towel for her hair, and my friends flashed in and zapped me into some nice clean warm clothes (outfit 20)Farrah are you ok? They asked me.

I'm fine. But what I don't get is that dad knew the spell and Kelbo didn't. But Kelbo's the family wizard and dad's not a wizard anymore. Yeah but then we heard the story about how wizards can't marry non wizards so dad gave his powers up to Kelbo so that he could marry mom and we wouldn't be here if he hadn't Alex and I felt really bad for not standing by him and we all begged him to be our teacher again even Kelbo because he couldn't handle it he gets too distracted.

How many times can you say you've been a sea chimp though? Everyone Kelbo knows apparently, because he makes everyone else open the package because he loves seeing all the pretty colors. And then we all went to wizard box again to see the basketball game Alex and I did the spell Kelbo told us about after making everyone cover their ears but Max didn't understand and it happened to him.

Then we went home and tried to make prank phone calls since we can call people on our wands. But we decided mom was on to us when the refrigerator wasn't running because it was broken and we found ourselves running away. It was so great meeting uncle Kelbo for the first time and I hope to see him again real soon.
