Your P.O.V.

1 am. 2am. 3am.

My mind won't seem to shut up. Thoughts just racing racing. Checking the clock every hour and seeing it get closer and closer to sunrise.

I can hear Steven softly snoring beside me and think how lucky he is to be asleep. I have been tossing and turning ever since we went to bed. I'm annoyed now, so, I'm just gonna go make some tea and watch some TV.

I slowly sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed. I look behind me and look at Steven's cute, peaceful face. I stand up and tiptoe out the bedroom door and into the kitchen. I fill the kettle with water and turn it on, before heading to the living room to turn on the TV.

I flip through the channels, trying to find something interesting to watch when I hear the kettle click. I go into the kitchen and make myself a tea. After doing so, I head back into the living room and sit on the couch, taking a sip of my tea.

I go back to flipping through channels, trying to find a movie or something, when I find SpongeBob is on. I leave that on and just continue to sip on my tea. Feeling zero tiredness. Just completely zoned out on the TV.

Steven's P.O.V.

I am woken up by movement out in the living room.

S: (y/n)? Darling?

I whisper out, and with no answer, I turn around in bed to find she's gone. Realizing the noise is from her, I look over at the clock on the night stand.

3:30am

I furrow my brows in thought as to why she's up, before getting out of bed and quietly making my way out to where she is.

I walk into the living room to find she's sitting on the couch, watching SpongeBob and drinking tea.

S: Darling? You alright? It's three in the morning.
Y: huh? Oh yeah, I just couldn't sleep. My brain won't stop. Sorry for waking you.
S: that's alright. Can I join you?
Y: uh, sure if you'd like sweetie.

I walk around to the front of the couch and gently sit down next to her. Grabbing a blanket that was on the end of the couch, I lay it over our laps and she rests her head on my shoulder.

S: do you want to talk about it? What's on your mind?
Y: not really, I just want to sleep but I can't.

She yawns as she says that. She sets her tea on the table and pulls the blanket up to her shoulder as she still snuggles into my side. I wrap my arm around her and rub her arm gently.

I watch SpongeBob as I feel myself drifting off, but I catch myself. That's when I notice, little gentle snores coming from beside me. I look down and see (y/n) has finally fallen asleep. I smile and give her a small kiss on her head. I shut off the TV before slowly and gently getting up from the couch.

I then stand a bit to the side of where (y/n) is sitting and put my arm under her legs and my other arm around her waist before picking her up gently off the couch, careful not to wake her. I carry her back to our room and lay her down in the bed.

I get into bed beside her and face her. I wrap my arm over her waist and close my eyes. I feel myself drift off again.

Y: thank you Steven. I love you.
S: I love you too.

We then both drift off.

A/N: Well, there's my first story done in this book and it was super short but cute! Hope you guys enjoyed and hope to hear from you! Have a good one!
