You see Kara again, you meet Alice and Luther for the first time

It's been a few hours since you and the rest of the deviants gained freedom and won from the android rebellion and also since you met Kara. Everyone was settled in the church and you were settling in as well but you were wondering where Kara and her family was. But then when you finally found her, your lips formed into a smile and you walked towards her.

(Your name): "Hey." *you smile*

Kara: *she looks up at you and Alice and Luther look at you too* "Hey. It's you."

(Your name): "Yeah. It's great... seeing you again..." *you smile and chuckle nervously*

Kara: "It's great seeing you again too."

(Your name): *you smile at her* "I... never got your name."

Kara: "Oh, my apologies. I'm Kara."

(Your name): "It's nice to meet you, Kara. My name is (your name)."

Kara: "It's nice to meet you too. This is Alice." *she introduces Alice*

Alice: *she gives waves at you with a shy smile*

Kara: *she smiles as Alice waves at you* "And this is Luther." *she introduces Luther*

Luther: *he smiles at you* "Nice to meet you, (your name)."

(Your name): "It's nice to meet you both as well. So, is Alice your daughter?"

Kara: "She's my adopted daughter."

(Your name): "How did you adopt her?"

Alice: *she has a sad look on her face*

Luther: *he notices the sadness on Alice's face* "Alice, why don't we go play for a little bit?"

Kara: *she looks at Alice* "Do you want to go play with Luther?"

Alice: *she nods her head*

Luther: "Come on, Alice." *he holds out his hand*

Alice: *she takes Luther's hand and she walks with him*

Luther: *he walks with Alice while he was holding her little hand*

(Your name): *you watch Luther and Alice walk together*

Kara: *she looks at you after she watched Luther and Alice leave* "Have a seat, (your name)."

(Your name): *you sit next to Kara* "So, Kara, how did you become Alice's mother?"

Kara: *she looks down and then she looks back at you as she starts speaking a few seconds later* "Her father was abusive to her and he was beating her. He was also on red ice. What I saw what he was doing to her and the things he would say to her, I felt like her life was more important than my life. I had to protect her, so we ran away and we met Luther along the way. We were trying to reach Canada but we got captured as you already know since you and I met at the camp."

(Your name): "I'm sorry to hear what you and your family have been through. You all deserve happiness."

Kara: *she nods her head* "Thank you."

(Your name): "Of course. By the way, could I ask you something else?"

Kara: "Yes, you may."

(Your name): "If you were trying to go to Canada, why did you decide to stay in Detroit?"

Kara: "I don't know if I'm honest. I guess I didn't want to risk my life or Luther's or especially Alice's life if we got to the boarder, so with us being free, we decided that it would be best to stay here."

(Your name): "I understand."

Kara: "What were you designed to do, (your name)?"

(Your name): "I never had an owner and never worked anywhere. I was kept in one of the CyberLife stores in display. But then out of nowhere, I heard a voice in my program, it was Markus saying that I'm free. He wasn't there but it felt like he was sending a message to all of the androids in the city in their programs. That one night, I snuck out of the store and I've been on the run ever since. But then I got captured trying to join the war, as you already know."

Kara: "I'm glad you got out of that store. You are way more than what the humans say." *she places a hand on your shoulder*

(Your name): *you smile at Kara* "I could say the same thing for you. What about you? I'm guessing that you were a housemaid, am I right?"

Kara: "Yes, I was. That's how I met Alice."

(Your name): "Okay, then. How did you two meet or find Luther?"

Kara: "We ran into this big house. It was disturbing, especially this man who kept androids and turned them into monsters. Luther used to work for him but then he changed and he joined the journey along with Alice and I."

(Your name): "Shit... Again, I'm so sorry for all the trouble and the trauma you and Alice and Luther went through."

Kara: "None of that matters now. All that matters is that Alice is safe and we are free."

(Your name): *you nod your head* "That is true. I can see that little girl loves you. She is lucky to have you as her mother."

Kara: "Thank you, (your name). I do everything I can to protect her. I don't care whether she is human or android, she's just someone who matters to me a lot and means the whole world to me."

(Your name): "That is so sweet. I'm sure Luther feels the same way."

Kara: "I'm positive that he does, he does everything he can to protect me and Alice. He is strong."

(Your name): "You're all strong. You're all so brave for staying together and you overcame your obstacles and the ones who hunted you down. You are a good person, Kara."

Kara: "Thank you, (your name). I appreciate you for your kind words. I could say the same thing for you. Also, thank you for helping me find Alice. You have no idea how much that meant to me."

(Your name): "Of course. I just do anything I can do to help." *you smile*

Kara: *she smiles at you and then she stands up* "Should I probably go join Alice and Luther. I will see you around sometime soon, (your name)." *she smiles at you again*

(Your name): "Of course. I will see you soon, Kara." *you smile at Kara*

You smiled as you were watching Kara leave, you thought Kara was a good friend of yours already and you really hope you can become closer friends with her. After Kara has left to go find Alice and Luther, you decided to talk to some of the other deviants in Jericho and you made friends with them. The other deviants were friendly and kind to you and they admired you already and you were glad that they liked you. You feel so happy to be alive and you also feel happy to be free. You thought of those feelings were great feelings.

(Also, yes, I know this chapter is a little short. So please bare with me 🤣)
