Chapter 5

After I entered the house, I began to worry a lot. Then, as soon as she closed the door my worried jumped to a new height. And so, while thinking deeply, I was lost in my thought again.

Suddenly, she grabbed one of my shoulders from behind and I came back to my senses.

- So, this is it! I was careless. I shouldn't have let my guard down. Now I'm finished. She's going to end me. My time in this world is about to end. Goodbye world. Goodbye, everyone.

So, I closed my eyes and waited for my end......

Suddenly I heard her voice,

- Hello! Why are you standing there like a statue? Why aren't you responding? Is everything okay? Are you feeling alright? Can you hear me?

Then, I opened my eyes and heard what she said,

- What happened? Why am I still.....? Aren't you going to.....?

That's what I'm trying to find out. I was calling you for some time but you weren't responding at all. You were acting the same as before. Were you thinking something deeply again?

Oh! Yes, yes. To tell you the truth, while I'm thinking of something, I completely can't hear anything that is happening outside.

So, what were you thinking so deeply?

I was just.......... (I was completely silent and couldn't bring myself saying what I was thinking)

The silence keeps going and awkwardness was growing.

Then she spoke again,

- It's alright, you don't have to say anything at all.

- Look, the storm is getting worse and it's getting quite cold. Let's not stand here like this. Let's go inside and then we can talk about it while drinking something warm.

I nodded my head and said - okay.

Then we went inside to the living room. After going inside the living room, she told me to sit anywhere I like. Also, she went to the kitchen to bring some tea.

After seeing the living room, I was stunned. Looking around I realized that it was as my grandpa said. Everything was so cleaned that there was not even a cloud of single dust anywhere. Everything was shining like they were brand new. It was perfect. Too perfect if you ask me. So, I was beginning to worry that if it was an illusion. Even that rain appeared suddenly. Then, I looked through the window. Could it be that the rain is also an illusion to prevent me from leaving? If that's the case then I'm truly caught into the web. And if I try to move too much without thinking, then I might not be able to free myself.

As I turned around from the window, I was surprised to see that she was standing right behind me. I panicked and fell down after seeing her suddenly. She also panicked and dropped the cup of tea on me that she was holding in her hand. In a matter of less than a second, the hot tea was all over my clothes.

- What happened and what did I see just now?

- When the tea was falling, I felt like I saw her smiling at that moment. Was it my imagination? Did she do this on purpose?

Then she spoke up,

- What have I done? Sorry, I'm really sorry about that. I was surprised. So, I just.......

It's okay. It was just an accident. More likely, it's actually my fault. This happened because I panicked suddenly. So, don't worry about it?

More importantly, now my clothes feel sticky. Now I need to wash my clothes and take a bath to remove this stickiness. Since it has come to this, maybe I'll go back to my house and the rainwater will wash me and my clothes at the same time.

No, you can't go right now!!

She suddenly spoke after what I said. Then I looked at her and asked what she meant by that.

What I mean to say is that it's dangerous outside right now. Even if you leave while the rain is still falling, you might get sick. Or you might get lost in that heavy rainfall. Or you might even........

Okay, okay.... you can stop now. I was only joking. I'm not that stupid to go in that storm. That would be a suicidal move. But even so, I can't stay like this.

Then please come this way, I'll take you to the washroom. There you can take a bath and clean yourself. I also have some clothes that you can wear. In the meantime, I'll wash your clothes. Also, I already heated the water in the bathtub. You can go inside If you want.

Oh! That would be great. Thank you.

Then I went to the washroom and after cleaning my body I when inside the bathtub. The bathtub water was warm and I was feeling pretty good. While inside the bathtub I started thinking about my situation.

- Strange things are happening today one after another. First the rain, then the tea incident. It's like my time to stay in this house extending little by little. Or am I just overthinking?

- Wait a minute, don't tell me this was all her plan? She poured the tea on purpose so that I would have no other choice but to clean myself. After I clean myself she's going to end me.

- But wait if that's was the case she had plenty of time to do that. No to mention when I joked about leaving she became quite frustrated. She's probably hiding something. I must not let my guard down while staying.

While thinking I started to feel lightheaded......

- What is happening now? Why am I feeling like this? Is she doing something to me now?

- No that's not it. it's probably because I'm inside the bathtub. How long have I been here? I was probably thinking deep again and lost track of time. I need to get out of the tub quickly before I pass out.

After getting out of the bathtub I stand up and started feeling a little dizzy. I couldn't keep my balance and I fell down. Then, when I was about to lose consciousness, I saw someone coming to me. With the little strength I had left, I moved my head to see who it was.

It was her. At the last moment, as I lost my consciousness, I looked at her face and saw her smile again.

What will happen when I wake up? Will I even wake up or will I be dead?
