Chapter 11

After my conversation with Ms. Guardian, I quickly and quietly went upstairs.

Then I got on the bed and started thinking,

- What the hell was I saying? What was I thinking? Even though I didn't know what she was going to do? Asking to help Ms. Guardian with her bath. That's just...... Ahh......!

Back then, I managed to keep myself calm in front of her. But.... But.... Ahh......!

Now I'm even imagining what would happen if that really happened.

What is going on today? One after another, these kinds of misleading things are happening.

Everything that is happening makes me feel that I'm a part of this house and living with Ms. Guardian like a family.

Even, I've already forgotten all the incidents that happened to keep me trapped inside this house. Even if that's not true, something is definitely not right. I can feel it. Or this feeling is some other kind of feeling. I don't know, but I can't let my guard down.

After resting tonight, I'll leave tomorrow as quickly as possible.

As I lie down on the bed, I began to wonder, what if this house was actually haunted? Then what would happen next?

At that moment, as I said that, the light started to flicker.

- What is going on? Why the light is flickering all of a sudden? Does that mean.......?

Suddenly the light stopped flickering and I was relieved.

- So, it was just a minor problem. It's nothing more than that. I was getting worried for nothing. Then, I should go to sleep or I'll wake up late in the morning.

As I was trying to sleep, suddenly the light went out. I tried clicking on the switch but it wasn't working. It seemed the electricity was gone.

At that moment I started thinking,

- I think I spoke too soon. So, this is where the nightmare begins.

As the light went out, my courage ran out. There was no sound around and I began to hear my heartbeat beating very loud. Suddenly I began to hear a sound coming from down.

Who was it?

I thought it was Ms. Guardian who was coming. But I realized that she was taking a bath at that time. Then, who? Who is coming?

What should I do? I can't see. Now that it has come to this, I must flee.

As my heartbeat and my talking speed began to sync. I couldn't speak more or move from there. Because my fear already grabbed me by the feet.

Then I began to see some light coming near the door. I began to think what kind of light it was.

Was it the dying light or the light of hope?

I didn't know, because I wasn't looking. All I was doing, nothing but praying.

The door slowly opened and someone came inside.

I opened my eyes and looked at the light and saw someone was holding the light.

It was Ms. Guardian herself. She brought me the hope of light and I became as calm as light.

Then Ms. Guardian spoke to me,

- Are you alright? The electricity went out suddenly when I got out of the bath. I thought you might feel a little uncomfortable in the dark. So, I came with the lantern as fast as I can.

Thank you. I was worried a little bit. But thanks to you, now I'm okay.

Then, I'll stay here for a while until the power comes back.

No, no. You don't have to stay here for that long. I'll be fine with the lantern.

Oh! That! But I only have one of them. So, I can't go back down unless I take the lantern with me.

Is that so? Then, please stay here until the power comes back. (I was too scared a moment ago and I didn't want to go through that again. So, I couldn't let her leave with the lantern)

A few minutes passed but there was no sign of power coming back.

Ms. Guardian was sitting right next to me and I was getting very nervous about the current situation.

Darkness around me, a beautiful girl beside me, a dim light in front of me, a bed behind me. What is this situation I'm in right now?

Tell me! What will you do in this situation?

Me! I don't know. But now that I'm in this situation, I don't know what I should do.

When the light went out I was feeling fear. But my fear was gone after she bought the light to me. But now I'm feeling something else. The beauty I could see, the scent coming from her after the bath I could smell. With that, my head was getting fuzzy and I couldn't think straight at all. The feeling inside of me kept growing and soon it will burst out.

As time goes by I couldn't take it anymore. So, I stood up and tried to do something that would break this silent moment and my growing feeling. So, I spoke to her,

- I'm really sorry about what I said before. It was inappropriate for me to say that.

Then she looked at me, smiled, and replied,

- Don't worry about it? You said those things because you didn't know about it. So, it's alright.

After that, it was completely silent and both of us said nothing. Then sometimes later the power came back and she returned to her room.

After all the things that happened, I also lie down on my bed and without any second thought, I fell asleep.
