Chapter 2: Karma is a Bitch

Nakalimutan ko lahat ng pagpapantasya ko ng maalala ko si Betty. I'm feeling a really vibe here. I felt like something not good is happening or will happen. What's with me today? Kanina kina mommy and daddy, ngayon naman kay Prince Charming and Betty. It's like, kapag may magandang nagyari or nagyayari, something wrong will comes next. What the hell is wrong with you Universe? Ibang klase rin trip mo ah. Weird.

I tried reaching Betty again but failed. Ugggh!! Suko na ko. I surreder Lord. Kung kailangan kong mano-manong hanapin si Betty, keri lang. Super unusual kasi. Hindi fan si Betty ng word na 'late.' Anything, I mean lahat, na may kinalaman o connected sa idea na 'late' hate niya. Latecomer, late submission, delay, anything. Malate lang nga ako ng 5 seconds kapag lumalabas kami galit na yan eeh. May pagkalokaloka rin ang bff ko. kaya ng bff ko.

Anyway, asan na ba talaga yun? I checked my watch, it's 5 minutes before the first bell. Then 2 minutes after dapat nasa rooms na ang mga students to formally start the classes. Long story short, I still have 7 minutes to find Betty or else I'm going to be late in my class. 

Baka naman kasi hindi talag pumasok? Paranoid ka nanaman kasi Patty eh. Pero, everytime na aabsent siya sinasabi niya agad sakin through text or call or whatever social media networks na available. She never fails to inform me kasi alam niya kung paano ako magworry.

Out of nowhere naman, an idea popped in my head. Tawagan ko kaya bahay nila. Hayys... tanga tanga ka talaga Patty. Ba't ngayon mo lang naisip.

Quickly, I scanned my phone contacts and found, Betty Home. I'm sure at home ang mother niya. I pressed the call button. After three rings, someone picked up.

'Hello'

'Hi Tita Nens. Patty po ito.'

'Oh Patty? Ba't napatawag ka? Is everything alright?'

'Uhmmm... yes po tita. Matanong ko lang po. Pumasok po ba si Betty?'

'Oo naman. Bakit? Hindi mo pa ba siya kasama?'

Whaat? Nasan ba si Betty? Shit! I'm getting worried sick. Pero di ko muna sasabihin kay tita. Kailangan ko muna iconfirm kung andito siya sa school.

'Patty??? Patty??? Are you still there?'

'Uhm, sorry tita. Yes I'm here pa po. Uhmm, anong oras po ba umalis si Betty tita?'

'Hmmm... I think mga 30 minutes ago.'

'Aah ganun po ba? Sige po. Hahanapin ko nalang po siya dito sa school.'

'Okay Patty.'

'Thanks tita.'

'No prob'

Then I hung up.

BEEEETTTYY!!! SAAAN KA NAAA BAAA??!!

After 3 minutes, I stopped for a while to catch my breathe and retain my focus. Then I realized, nasa Gym na pala ako. Walang tao kasi Monday. Usually, there's no P.E. classes during Monday. Only Tuesday to Friday ang P.E. Sched. So, since na walang tao naman dito I start to walk away. Pero, biglang may narinig akong ingay somewhere. I followed the noise pero di ko malaman kung ano. Lumapit akong dahan dahan hanggang sa one foot nalang ang distance ko from the noise. Galing sa girls shower room ang ingay. Lumapit pa ko and I realized na boses tao ang ingay. In fact, boses pambabae.
