MATES! (D-Team + Karl & Punz)

It was finally the day, the pack leader to be was finally gonna find his mate. Punz was so ready for a mate, he couldn't wait any longer for the right person to arrive. After countless hookups and girlfriends he was finally gonna find his forever partner. 

At the same time Karl, Dream, Sapnap and George were also getting ready. After all this really does happen once every full moon.

"Ma, stop." Dream protested, his mom trying to set his hair with a hair gel. Sapnap was standing a bit behind the blonde, laughing at his best friend and his mom. 

"Sapnap, stop laughing. You're next." Dream's mom said, looking at the dark-haired man. 

"Ma!" Dream finally had enough and stepped away. "Everyone has already seen me. I don't need my hair to be set perfectly." 

"Dream! Be nice to your mom." Dream's dad spoke stepping into the livingroom. "Sasha stop pampering your son, he's 18. He's not our little baby anymore." 

"Sorry mom. I know you're stressed, but so am I and I still need to pick the outfit up from Bad." Dream tried to reason, his mom sighing. 

"Okay okay. Go get your outfits and we'll meet you at the forrest." Dream's mom said, pulling her son in for a hug. 

"Good luck Sapnap." Dream's dad said, pulling him in for a hug. "Wait here a sec boys." Dream's dad went to his office, getting two small boxes. "Here, open these." Dream's dad said, handing one box to Dream and the other to Sapnap. "It's family tradition and Sapnap, you're considered family at this point."

"Wow.." Sapnap said, looking at a silver bracelet with a tiny flame engraved. "I love it! Thanks!" Sapnap said, immediately bringing Dream's dad in for a hug. 

"This is so cool!" Dream chimed in, looking at his also silver bracelet, but with a smile engraved. "Thanks dad!" Sapnap went to hug Dream's mom and say thanks, before Dream also hugged her. 

"Good luck you two. I hope you find your one." Bad said, handing the two boys their running suits, which they got made for the run. 

"Thank you Bad. Tell Skeppy we said hi." Sapnap said on their way out. 

"Hey Punz, good luck with tonight." Dream said as he saw the alpha's son walk in. 

"Thank you, good luck to you too." Punz answered, giving the two a smile. 

"George!" Karl said, jumping on the other, who was about to get up from the couch he was sitting on. 

"Karl!" George matched Karl's enthusiasm. "Don't try to eat me please." George joked, knowing his werewolf senses were on the rise, due to it being a full moon tonight. 

"I can't wait any longer!" Karl yelled, jumping up and down in George's lap. 

"Okay okay!" George said, grabbing Karl's waist in order for him to sit still. "I can't either, but stop bouncing." 

"But George!~" Karl protested, whining into the other's ear. 

"Stop! Karl not today. We can't do that anymore. We're gonna find our mates and two omegas can't be mates." George stated firmly, pulling Karl off him and getting up from the couch. "I need to go, we can't get ready together for this." 

"Yeah.. I'll see you tonight. Good luck with your mate." Karl answered, getting up from the couch and walking the opposite direction of George. 

"Runners please take you places, the run will begin in 5 minutes." An announcer was heard through the speakers surrounding the forrest. All the runners said their goodbyes to their friends and family. 

"Karl!.." George whispered harshly at the other, seeing him on his way to his spot. Karl looked George's way, before turning his back to him again. "Karl, I'm sorry!" George said. "I just couldn't be with you today. I was scared with the full moon and all the anticipation." George tried to explain. "I didn't wanna accidentally mark you." 

"What?.." Karl asked quietly. 

"Karl don't be stupid. I've been in the thing for a year now. There has always been a pull. Every night after the run when I'd sneak home to you. It would be stronger and stronger." George explained, grabbing Karl's hands. "Just, don't be surprised if it happens, kay?" 

"Yeah. Okay.." Karl said, lost for words. "I hope it is." Karl said, letting go of George's hands to take place on the other side of the line, with the new ones. 

"Good luck George." Sapnap said, walking past his childhood friend. 

"Good luck Sap and Dream." George smiled adoringly at the two, he remembers their childhood together, running around and fighting imaginary dragons and evil princesses. George would always grant his two brave soldiers with kisses on the cheek. 

"Hope you get who you're looking for." Dream answered, signalling towards Karl. Dream would be lying if he said he didn't catch a crush on George during their preteen years. The brunette was simply too cute to not fall for. 

"Do you really?" Sapnap asked teasingly when they were out of George's hearing. 

"Shut up! That was literally years ago." Dream said, pushing Sapnap lightly on the arm. 

"The run begins in 10, 9," Dream looked to his right where Sapnap was standing, grabbing the other's hand and giving it a tight squeeze. 

"8, 7, 6," George tried his best to look at Karl, but he couldn't quite see him. 

"5, 4, 3," Punz looked around at the people next to him, giving them a smile. 

"2, 1 go!" The announcer finished and all the unmated adults began running. Punz was quick to catch a smell, although he couldn't pin it down. On one side it seemed to come from the right, the it was on his left. And then, he hit the ground. 

"Mate!" George yelled, having tackled his alpha-to-be. Soon George was pushed to the ground by someone who had an all too familiar smell. 

"Mate!" Karl said, straddling George's waist. ".. and.. mate?" Karl asked, looking back at Punz. Karl quickly got up and straddled one of Punz's thighs instead, George straddling the other. 

Punz first smelled Karl's neck, the smell overwhelming, Karl smelled like vanilla and lemon. Then he smelled George, his smell just as good, although different, more like chocolates and strawberries. 

"MATES!" Punz cheered, nibbling at their necks. 

At the same time Dream and Sapnap had tackled each other and were about to mark each other in the forrest before someone jumped above them, snapping them back into reality. 

"Mate!" Dream said with love in his eyes. "Sapnap! We're mates!" Dream swung his arms around the other. Who tried wiggling out of Dream's grasp. 

"Can you smell that?" Sapnap asked, sitting up straight to find the source of the smell. 

"Yeah.. Like vanilla and lemon.. and chocolate and.." Dream started, trailing off towards the end.

"Strawberries and warm weather, and a bit like candy." Sapnap finished for him. the two stood up and started running towards the smell. 

There they saw Punz, the alpha's son, with George and another omega the two hadn't met before. Dream let out a whimper, trying to catch one of their attentions. Punz immediately looked up and saw the two betas. 

"MATES!" Punz yelled, wiggling out from the two omegas that were making out. 

"Mates!" Karl and George yelled at the same time, attacking the other's in kisses and small hickeys.
