Emily's pov:
I arrived in Chicago. I came to surprise my brother so I asked his mate, severide, to pick me up.I got in his car and we hugged. "Emily! Hey! You look so much more mature now!" Kelly said. I smiled. "And you, Kelly, look the exact same. Old and boring." I said. He laughed and drove me to the station.
"Chief!" I yelled. He turned around and smiled. He was like a dad to me. I never got on with my mum. And when she killed my dad, I hated her even more. I don't even talk to her anymore. My brother still see's her in prison. I don't know why I'm closer to him then I am my other sister.
"Go wait in my office, I'll go get Casey." He said. I smiled and walked to his office. We were waiting there for around 5 minutes when I needed to take a call. "I'll be back in a sec." I said then walked out.
I came back when Casey, Severide and Chief were finished talking. "Casey, one more thing-" Chief said. "Hey Big bro." I said. He smiled. "Emily!" He yelled. He hugged me.
We walked to the kitchen and I saw everyone and they hugged me. "Otis, what happened to your tour?" Casey asked. "Our new candidate." He replied.
We walked to see him. He was talking about the rescue squad. This cannot end well. "Mills, right? Last to show, first to go. That's the rescue squad." My brother said.
"You truck guys do such a good job getting everything ready for us." Severide said. I rolled my eyes. "Why would we wanna take that away from you?" Severide asked.
"Kids, you should know they make the rescue helmets extra big to fit there heads inside them." Casey said.
"There are two types of firefighters. Those who are on squad, and those who wish they were on squad." Severide said.
"Come on kids." The candidate said. "Boys. Stop." I said bluntly then walked away.
The alarm then went so I got in the truck. "You ready?" Casey said as the truck started driving. "Yeah." I said. I looked at Joe. "Joe, how's Leon?" I asked him. "We'll talk after." He said.
"Mills, shadow mouch." Casey said. "Walk with a purpose, but don't run. Take it all in. Know the details of the situation before you act." He said. "Oh and Mills, don't be a crow." He added.
We got there and we all got out. Casey walked straight to the red car. It was jammed shut.
We got the woman out but her daughter was still in there. Then a fire started. Dawson was inside the car with the girl.
Herrmann and I got the hose on it. It was put out pretty quickly. Mills then looked at the driver seat of the other car, then looked at the crowd of people. I started to walk over to him.
"That's the driver!" He then yelled. He started running after someone so I ran with him. "Stop that guy!" I yelled.
Mills tackled him to the ground, then I showed up. The cops then took him into custody. "Nice job Mills." I said. He smiled.
We walked back to the scene and the girl was being taken to the hospital. We all got back to the fire house and I walked with Mills.
"How did you know it was him?" I asked him. We walked to the kitchen. "His blazer was still in the car. I looked at him and he ran." He said. I smiled. "Good job, kid." I said.
"I'm older then you-" I cut him off. "Casey's my brother. They've been holding a placement here for me for 5 years. In this house, I'm older then you." I said. He laughed and started to walk away.
"Hey Mills-" He turned around. "I know not that many of the guys like you right now, but if you need someone to talk to, I'm here." I said. He smiled.
