Chapter 5

Nicks POV

It just hit me, I'm proposing to Charlie within minutes! As I walk into the locker rooms with my mates I hear Sam come up to me
"Ready Mate?"

"As I'll ever be!"

"Good luck!"

Charlie's POV
I'm just with my friends in line to get some food when the speakers go off. We hear the ding to indicate someone over the speaker and then soon after
"May I have everyone's attention?" There was about a 30 second pause before we hear the ding go off again

" Can Mr.Charles Spring please report to the field entrance? I will repeat, Mr. Charles Spring to the field entrance. Thank you."

I look to Tao and he goes

"what did you do?!" In a joking way

"nothing that I know of!" I joke back

"Charlie you should go down to the field entrance now." I hear Elle say

"Okay..."

"We'll see you when your done!" I look back and nod my head in agreement with Darcy.
As I walk down to the field entrance I see nicks Coach and he asks me to wait here for a few moments as he quickly steps away he brings back a blindfold and asks me

"Hey, Charlie can you please put this on over your eyes?" Reluctant at first a reply with a light

"Okay..." as I tie the blind fold I hear the coach whisper something that I couldn't quite make out.

Nicks POV:
We just got the okay from coach Charlie was blind folded so our plan commences! I see the first group of my mates run out with the petals throwing them in a shape of a pathway and then a big circle at mid field as soon as they run back I see my other mates quickly but carefully head out with the candles laying them about 2 feet apart on the sides of the rose pedal pathway. They come back and I see them all head out with the signs. A soon as there done I give coach the thumbs up and he nods and heads toward Charlie!

Charlie's POV:
It had been about 5 minutes and I kept hearing footsteps run past me but I couldn't tell what was happening until I felt a tap on my shoulder and nicks coaches voice say softly

"Okay, Charlie take off your blind fold!" I remove my blindfold and I see a amazing candle lit pathway of rose pedals leading to a circle where a bunch of nicks mates were standing with backwards signs I stand there in aw before Nicks coach says

"We'll go on then, don't keep the crowd waiting!" Still in disbelief I whisper a slight 'okay' to myself and start walking down the pathway.

Nicks POV:

I see Charlie start walking and he looks really happy with a smile from ear to ear! I was slightly worried he would get overwhelmed by everything but he was doing amazing! As soon as he gets to the circle I come out of the entrance and my fans are going crazy! Charlie turns around and I quicken my pace to meet him. He says lightly so no one would pick up on it

"Nick, what on earth is all this!" With a quiet giggle. They had set us up on the huge screens so that everyone could hear and see the proposal.

Charlie's POV:
I can not believe what I am seeing everything is so perfect and as soon as I get to the top of the walkway I had a feeling of what was going to happen next. Quickly after I took in what was going on around me I turn around to see my handsome boyfriend in his rugby jersey all sweaty walking up the pathway like it is just me and him in this entire stadium. I make a light hearted comment giggling after before I hear Nick start speaking

Nicks POV:
I look into Charlie's eyes and I grab my pre-written speech out of my pocket and start reading

"Charlie, Although we have been through so much I just want to let you know again how much I love you!"

I look up from the piece of paper and see Charlie's smile and I crumble the speech up and throw it to the ground because I realized that I can speak this directly from my heart.

Charlie's POV:
Nick starts talking and I can already feel the tears gathering in my eyes. He started reading from a paper but he looked up and threw the paper to the ground as he got tearey eyed he started again

"Forget the speech!" He says while the emotion filled tears start to fall and the crowd laughs admirably

"Charles Spring, You are the most romantic, beautiful, amazing, caring, genuine and hot person I know...." He states gaining a giggle from me and the people watching as he continues

"Although when we met 6 years ago, I did believe I was straight, but you quickly changed that!" He says gazing laughs all around

"But Charlie, you are the only person I would ever want to wake up to, the only person I ever want to kiss goodnight, the only person I ever want to cuddle with, and the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with." He pauses as the tears keep falling over his smile and his nose crinkles more I feel the waterworks starting,

"So, Charlie Spring I have to ask you to please turn around!"

Nicks POV:
I just finished my speech and my face is drenched in my tears as my smile is bigger than I ever thought it could be Charlie turns around, and my mates drop the signs word by word.

Charlie's POV:
I turn to see 5 signs drop, each revealing a word stating
'Charlie - Will - You -Marry - Me?"
I don't think I have turned around faster in my life and as I look into nicks eyes he pulls something out of his back pocket and kneels down on one knee opening a box to reveal a beautiful silver ring with diamonds in beaded in the band as he says

"Charles Francis Spring, Will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

Nicks POV:
I asked him and I instantly hear

"Yes,yes,yes,yes!!!" Burst out of Charlie's mouth so I stand up place the ring on his finger and kiss him so intimately it felt like we were the last people on earth. As I pull away from the kiss I stare at Charlie and he has this smirk on his face.

Charlie's POV:

After I kiss Nick as passionately as I could I remember the ring in my back pocket. As I give nick a small smirk I say

"Well, I was saving this for later but since you have to be first to everything I guess I'll do it now!" Earning a laugh as people realized what was happing.
I kneel down slowly onto one ring and grab the ring box with the gold engagement ring in it and start

"Nicholas Luke Nelson, will you marry me?" I say in a joking tone as I stand up.

"Obviously!!!" I hear him say as I slip the gold ring onto his finger and give him a giant hug! We pull away after about 30 seconds and start to walk away and the stadium goes wild! As we approach the exit from the fields I softly say to nick

"That ring looks good on you mate!" Knowing nick absolutely despises me calling him mate

"Char, you did not just 'mate' me!"

"Oh, I think I did!" I say removing his arm from my waist and running out as nick chased me.

"You have to catch me to marry me!" I run, not as fast as I could because I want nick to catch me, but enough to make him have to try!

"Char, you absolute jerk!" He says as we both laugh! He picks up speed and catches me picking me up as I wrap my legs around his wait and my arms around his neck I pull him onto a kiss.
