A few weeks before Halloween it happened. We were all having lunch in the great hall when a light shined in the middle of the room and it soon changes shape showing the four founders.
Godric Gryffindor. Helga Hufflepuff.Salazar Slytherin.Rowena Ravenclaw
"Hi, If you are seeing this then the worst of the worst has happened," Rowena Ravenclaw starts before she was cut off by Godric Gryffindor, "Yeah Magic is dying." Rowena sighs and face palmed before continuing. "Yes as Godric says, magic is dying. This could have happened a lot of different ways. That is not what matters. This is an emergency procedure we added to the castle. It has the ability to send one person back in time to the time to save magic." Rowena says with a seemly calm expression.
Helga soon starts, "We obviously want to make sure the person sent back in time is adequate for the position. We can only send one person back so anyone already mated can't take part in the test. To everyone else it is compulsory to take part. You will take several different tests to test your abilities." She says, looking around almost as if she could see them all.
Salazar then spoke up for the first time, "Test's start now. Good luck. If you pass a green tick will appear above your head and then your magic level will be checked and the most powerful will be chosen." He says before a green light fills the room and we are all knocked out except the mated pairs.
Harry immediately tried to check on Violetta but she was unmoving. He looked over and saw Draco trying to wake up Blaise. "What did you do to them?!?!" Professor McGonagall shouts at the ghostly figures of the founders. "They are being tested. It will be a few hours max, if they are passing.." Godric said with a slight shrug.
Time passed as people woke up, all with no green marks. The first person to wake up with a green mark was Luna Lovegood, next was Theodore Nott, then Neville Longbottom, and lastly Violetta Potter. They were the only people to pass.
"Four people passed, I expected more.." Helga mumbles sadly. "Ok time to test your power levels, the most powerful will be chosen to go back in time. You will have 48 hours to prepare yourself for travel." Rowena says as a blue light shines over the four of them. Finally Violetta glows purple as the others stopped glowing.
"Our time hero has been selected. We will return in 48 hours to send you back in time. Good luck." Salazar says with a slight smirk before they disappeared. The room fell into chatter as Violetta is in shock. She was going into the past weather she wants to or not.
