THAT NIGHT, ARYA and Jack never left his room, choosing to bask in each other's warmth as Arya told Jack what she'd been busy with. She explained how she met Thelsiel, her strange new powers, and the prophecy Doyal had read.

Jack listened intently, nodding along and asking questions when needed. He enjoyed listening to her and learning of her new adventure though it worried him the danger she always put herself in. She reassured him that she could never die in the Dreams and Doyal always had her back.

They eventually fell into a peaceful sleep in each other's arms after hours of talking.

Sadly, they were disturbed by the rather irritating ringing from Jack's phone, alerting him that it was time to get up. He always ignored it so he'd forgotten to turn it off in his joy the night before.

Arya groaned, reaching for his phone that rested on his nightstand and tapped her hand repeatedly against it until the dreaded noise stopped. Behind her, she felt Jack shift and his arms tighten around her waist.

"It wasn't a dream," he murmured against her shoulder that he'd buried his face in.

Arya couldn't help but laugh, rubbing a hand along his knuckles. "Can't get rid of me that easily."

"Never planned on it," he retorted. She could feel the smile growing on his face.

"We should probably get up," she said, studying the wall across from her, running her thumb along Jack's hand absentmindedly.

"Probably," he murmured in agreement, already half asleep.

"There's a lot of things to do," she continued, eyes fluttering with the promise of more sleep.

Jack hummed, pressing a feather-light kiss against her shoulder.

"A few more minutes," she yawned, relaxing in Jack's hold, "wouldn't...hurt."

He didn't respond this time, his soft snores accompanying the distant sound of chatter as the Bunker woke for another day of hunting. Her mind and body seemed to agree because within seconds, she was asleep again.

Turns out, Jack and Arya had slept half the day away before they decided to drag themselves out of bed.

Realizing that she was still in her borrowed clothes, Arya left to her room to change.

She sped towards the door, smiling at the hunters she recognized, exchanging brief hellos before she excused herself. Though she wouldn't usually mind chatting, her and Jack decided they would have the day to themselves.
