"I told you I'd meet you again tomorrow, didn't I?"
Ennard was slightly taken aback.
Michael stood in front of him with a big smile. He was just about to enter the university building when Michael suddenly came and blocked his way. Ennard was speechless, he watched Michael say good morning, then returned his greeting after a few minutes of silence.
"You came to class so early," Michael responded in surprise, tilting his head to the side in confusion. "Why?"
Silence again for another dozen seconds, Ennard answered. "There's no particular reason." He turned his gaze elsewhere and took a deep breath, then took a step to leave.
"Hey! Wait for me!"
Of course he didn't wait for Michael, the Afton followed him quickly.
"I have morning class," Ennard said. "I must—"
"Come on, accompany me first." Michael tried to persuade him, Ennard cursed inwardly when Michael had cracked that pleading smile. "My friends won't be coming at this hour, so stay with me?" Michael held his wrist and looked him straight in the eye. "Please?"
Ennard had an inner turmoil.
In the end he gave a desperate groan and Michael grinned widely at his victory.
"You can't resist me," Michael said proudly as they walked together into the main building. He put his hands behind his head as if they were pillows, and Michael chuckled at the look on Ennard's face; between embarrased and exhausted. "Have you had breakfast?" he asked then.
Only a glance he got from Ennard, the man was silent for a few minutes.
"Not yet."
"Why did it take you so long to answer such a simple question?" Michael asked again, he didn't understand at all.
Ennard shrugged. "Because I'm not as fussy as you?"
Michael's brow furrowed, he puffed out his cheeks with a frown. "I'm not fussy," he argued, but Ennard looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Okay, maybe, a little—but hey that's my charm!" Michael nodded his head, again filled with pride.
"Didn't some people bully you?"
Checkmate.
Michael pursed his lips. "You can be so mean in commenting," he sulked.
"I'm just being honest," Ennard replied calmly.
"Like when you frankly proposed to me back then?"
This time it was checkmate for Ennard.
A stifled laugh was heard from the blue-eyed man, smiling amusedly at the look on Ennard's face as red as Ennard's own hair. "You're funny," Michael said, and Ennard's blush grew so thick at that he lowered his gaze to the floor with his lips pressed together. "Ennard said haven't had breakfast yet, right? I have not either! Let's buy something in the cafeteria," said Michael excitedly, without waiting for Ennard's reply he immediately pulled Ennard to leave.
This morning Michael intended to make Ennard his prisoner, he would make sure Ennard didn't escape his clutches.
"It's still too early for the cafeteria to open, Afton," Ennard said a little embarrassed—he was nervous because Michael kept holding his wrist.
Michael stopped. "You're right," he said quietly, then his index finger tapped his chin a few times, he was deep in thought. "But there is a vending machine," Michael said brightly, he smiled widely at Ennard and immediately pulled Ennard again to find the nearest vending machine. "You want bread? I actually brought two sandwiches. There seems to be a vending machine selling snacks too if you want. Also I want vanilla milk, what do you want? Juice? Soda? But soda is not very good to drink in the morning, buy juice, okay? Orange juice, it's delicious."
