Jordan was bringing a cart full of scrap metal to the shop when he spies a black cat with a red patch across his eyes and undercoat watching him from the alley.

He walks closer and squats down in front of the cat with a smile.

"Hello there little one." His deep voice says as he slowly reaches a hand out in front of the cat.

The cat inches forward and rubs their head in his big hands.

Jordan chuckles and pets them. "Well aren't you a beaut." He picks them up and sees that he's a male.

The male cat glares at him as Jordan places him in the crook of an arm.

"Sorry bud, didn't mean to check your goods." He says before grabbing the cart and continuing on his way.

Thick muscle flexes underneath the cat's body as he stares into the man's eyes.

"My name's Jordan by the way, but my friends call me-"

"Jordie! Look out!!" A voice calls out and he ducks while sheltering the cat with his body.

A vehicle sails over their head before landing harshly on the ground.

"MK are you okay?" He asks.

"Sorrycan'ttalkrightnow.Seeyoulaterbye!"He shouts driving off.

Jordan blinks and looks down at the golden eyed cat in his arms.

"Are you alright little one?"

The cat twitches an ear while staring at him before wrapping his tail around Jordan's arm.

He breaks out into a large smile and strokes the cat's soft fur in response.

He walks the rest of the way to the workshop and places the cat down on his desk.

Jordan opens the mini fridge and grabs his lunch and breaks off a piece of chicken.

"Here, I made it myself." He says handing it to the cat who gingerly takes a nibble.

His eyes go wide before he devours it making Jordan chuckle. "Glad you liked it."

"JORDAN!" His boss, a short older woman shouts making him jump and try to hide the cat from view with his body.

"Heyy Mrs. B, I brought the scrap metal." He says casually leaning on the desk.

"That's not all you brought, put the cat back and bring these goods to Sandy." She demands making him wilt.

"Please Mrs. B, he can stay out the way and I was even going to make him his own leather apron so he won't get hurt."

"No, a blacksmith shop is no place for cats now go deliver those supplies."

Jordan sighs in defeat before gently picking up the cat and walking outside.

"I'm sorry little bud. I'll make sure to leave some snacks for you." He says placing the cat down with teary eyes.

He picks up a large container in one hand while wiping his eyes.

He picks up the other and places them on his shoulders before looking back at the cat to see his golden eyes staring at him already.

"Bye." He whispers walking towards the docks as two pairs of eyes watch his form.
