Chp 4: Caring is Healing

Karan's POV

Well the chaos in the Shergill House was all thanks to me, since the last 1 hour I was pacing around in the house making sure, all the arrangements for the day were absolutely perfect. Well I didn't want any mistakes or problems for the ceremony in the evening!! Just as I went to Faizi for the umpteenth time to make sure all the arrangements are according to the checklist right after confirming each and every detail all over again.

 I heard an extremely irritated voice of baby who came to me stomping her feet, "Chachu kitni baar sab kuch recheck karoge, pichhle 1 ghante se sab ke naak mei dum kar rakha hai aapne! Ho kya gaya hai aapko Agent Shergill? Iss ghar ki halat dekhe aisa lag raha hai jaise koi tsunami aayi ho..." 

I looked at her with a horrified face as she spoke but then Faizi sarcastically said, "Baby abhi tsunami kaha aayi hai? yeh toh bass iss Ulti Khopdi ki taiyari ho rahi hai, Tsunami ka swagat karne ki! Kyu haina Karan?" 

As I turned to glare at Faizi, I looked around the house to see it messed up to an extent that the sofas were strewn with all kinds of boxes right from clothes, shoes to sweets and decoration... Damnn I had really driven them crazy! I sheepishly looked at Bhabhi who looked exhausted and frustrated because of the chaos, while Koel was trying to calm everyone down with multiple rounds of coffee and food to keep them all going for the torture that I had unleashed on them.

 While a Nikhil seemed to be enjoying the whole drama unfold as he sat at the dining table, stuffing his mouth with food... This child should stay away from Faizi for a while, otherwise he will really turn into that Saand one day, I took a mental note of this fact while focusing back to the main scenario..

I scratched the back of my neck and spoke nervously looking at Bhabhi and Koel while totally ignoring Faizi, "Sorry Bhabhi, sorry Koel aap dono ko kuch zyada hi pareshaan kar diya na maine... Woh kya haina ki, aaj pata nahi kyu thoda ajeeb sa lag raha hai aur excitement bhi hai toh mujse raha hi nahi gaya"  to which Koel replied very sweetly, "Nahi Nahi Karan sir, aaj toh aapka special day hai, aapke liye hum itna toh kar hi sakte hai and we do understand your excitement and nervousness.."  

I felt slightly better hearing that as I replied, "Thanks Koel lekin tumhe kitni baar kaha hai ki tum mujje ghar pe Sir mat bulao, abb toh informal ho jaao"  She smiled at me and said, "Abb aadat si ho gayi haina... anyways aap thoda relax kijiye tab tak mei sab ke liye kuch bana kar laati hoon"

I immediately stopped her, "Nahi Koel already itna sab kar chuki ho tum, infact tum bhi thodi der baitho" I spoke and then went towards Bhabhi, "Bhabhi aap bhi baithiye na please, I am really sorry meine kuch zyada hi havoc kar diya hai ghar mei, lekin mei sab samet ke clean kar dunga.. aap tension mat lijiye" 

I spoke nervously while making her sit on the chair nearby as she spoke softly, "Arree Karan, koi baat nahi, Koel theek keh rahi hai. Aaj tumhara dinn hai so its okay aur tumhare liye toh yeh sab karna banta hai..  Afterall aaj mere Devar ka Roka hai toh itna tamjam toh hona hi chahiye.. Mera haq hai tumhare liye yeh sab karne ka, ismei kaisi problem!"

I smiled widely at Bhabhi's words as I nodded at her like an innocent child, she always knows how to make me feel better. But Faizi's voice broke my trance, "Yeh achha hai Karan janaabji, sabse zyada mujje pareshan karke rakha hai aur sorry Bhabhi aur Koel ko bol raha hai ? Aur Bhabhi aur Koel ko bhale hi koi problem na ho lekin abb hum tumhare iss ulti khopdi wale dimaag se tang aa gaye hai isiliye meherbaani karke tum na abb thodi der humme kaam karne do aur yeh sab sametne do warna tum kaam karne ke bajaye sirf pareshan karoge humme."

I gave him an annoyed dirty look as I spoke, "Tu chup re Saand, yaad hai na teri aur Koel ki shaadi mei kaisa nervous tha tu.. Yaar aaj mera Roka hai, meri Rani Sahiba ke saath aur mujje sab perfect chahiye ismei tu thodi help bhi nahi kar sakta kya?"
