Within the next half an hour everyone arrived and we started to really get into drinking. I was actually feeling surprisingly well. The awkward feeling was gone, everyone was super nice and nothing like during the Halloween party. We were able to talk about their job the same way we talked about mine, it was really easy and fun with everyone.

I also noticed that Cari was looking at me quite frequently even when we weren't in the same conversation. I always nodded towards her, letting her know that everything was fine. I put the two and two together; the people who were invited today are the ones who were the least awkward with me during the Halloween party. Cari definitely paid attention and organized today so I can feel a bit more at ease with them in a smaller group context. That's why she needed me to come today. She organized a welcome back party for me.

"Okay, now that we are tipsy enough, it's time to play." Said Jenna loud enough that everyone turned towards her. "Never have I ever?"

"Not again. We always play that, I already know all your dirty little secrets, you bitches," objected Alex. I was grinning hard, this girl hasn't changed a bit, just as wild as she always had been.

"Let's play Truth or Dare," Cari suggested and everyone agreed. We sat down around the coffee table and Kate found an already empty vodka bottle to play with.

"But we should use the app so we don't have to come up with the questions," said Larissa before we started and pulled out her phone immediately for the app.

We slowly started playing. First, we learned that Sarah still hasn't told her mom that she has a nipple piercing and she almost got caught last summer when they went to the beach together. In the next round, Alex had to lick Cari's feet.

"Eh, never again. You taste horrible, Fletch." She was swallowing a large amount of water before changing to her vodka soda.

I had to bite my lip to not say anything to that. Based on my memories, I definitely do not agree with you, Alex.

"Truth." I heard Cari's answer suddenly and I noticed that the bottle landed on her. Everyone started to laugh and I turned toward Alex for an explanation.

"One time Fletch chose dare and she had to send a few nasty texts to a random number. A 70-years-old dude kept sending her dick pics for weeks after that." She explained quickly and I joined in on the teasing.

"Rank your sex partners." Larissa read it on the app and everyone leaned forward.

"Come on, I want a new one," complained Cari while I could see that she was blushing. She glanced at me but then immediately looked away when she saw that I was looking back at her. I can understand that it felt super awkward for her as I was also in the group. Can't say I wasn't curious though.

"You can't get a new one. Answer it," said Jenna. I was half sure she totally forgot that Cari and I were together. "You can go with your top 3."

"Okay, okay." Care took a few huge sips from her drink. "3. Sam, 2. Shannon, and 1. Avery." She said it so quickly that I wasn't even sure I heard it right. Based on all the cheering, I did and it was my turn to blush a bit. At least there was one element in our relationship that we both remembered the same way. We were amazing in bed together. I was also sure that she would have never said that out loud if she was sober. "Next."

The next few rounds went down rather quickly. I somehow got lucky and the bottle avoided me, so I was just able to sit back and enjoy the banter between everyone.

"Okay, I don't care. Avery, it is your turn." Said Kate and turned the bottle toward me.

"I don't think this is how the game works." I grinned at her.
