Ben approached Jed, who knelt down by the bag of explosives. "Jed. Can we talk?"

Jed kept his focus on the arsenal. "Can't talk. Getting ready for the apocalypse that you started."

The words stung but Ben remained composed. "That wasn't my intention."

"What did you think was going to happen when you freed your psycho dad?"

Ben took a step towards Jed. "I told you my reasons."

Jed turned to him, glaring. "I know your reasons. It's the reason why we're here."

Ben "Jed, please."

"What do you want from me?" he said as he rose up to meet him face to face. "Huh? You expect us to go back to what it was before. You hurt my friends. You hurt me. We're currently fighting for our lives and the world."

"You're right and I am sorry. This was going to happen either way."

"But you wouldn't have had a hand in it." Jed pointed at him.

Ben looked down at the ground.

"If this was about us, you could have come to us. You could have come to me. I would have listened to you because I care about you."

The words registered in his mind. "Care?"

Jed realized what he said. He turned away, silently cursing himself.

"You still care about me?"

Jed whipped back around. "Of course, I do, idiot. Why do you think I'm mad?"

Ben struggled to contain his urge to smile but it began to form.

Jed caught the movement and pointed again. "Don't smile at me."

Ben stopped himself. Jed ran his hand through his hair.

"God, I was feeling so many things for the past few days. I was able to think straight and just focus on being mad at you but," Jed sighed, shaking his head. "Looking at you...makes it hard for me."

Ben stepped forward. He took Jed's face in his hands and crashed into his lips. Jed almost gave in but stopped himself, pushing Ben hard away. The demigod tumbled back but his gaze on Jed did not waver. He took a step back, seeing the peeved look on his face.

"Really?" His voice boomed in the forest.

Silence and uncertainty hovered in the air around and between them. Jed panted hard, surprised by the kiss. His hands turned into fists as he tried to ignore the pull of temptation.

"Damn," Jed growled. He released his fists and drew near to Ben. His left hand grabbed the back of his neck and drew his face back to resume. There was no resistance from either party. Their hands held onto each other tight. Their lips and tongues eagerly mingled with each other, hungry for the taste and touch.

All they felt and all that was unsaid spilled into their contact. All that Jed thought he should feel deteriorated. There was nothing but him and Ben now. Thoughts of impending doom and feelings of past anger melted away in the heat of their passion.

The kiss ended but the embrace remained. Panting breaths escaped their swollen mouths. Ben looked at Jed. The werewolf's face was softer, more welcoming. The smile that tugged at Ben earlier formed.

"I'm still mad at you," Jed whispered.

Ben gave a small nod. "I know."

Jed closed his eyes and leaned in. Their heads touched. Despite the future situation, they felt safe and secure with each other. The kiss dissolved the tensions, flooding their bodies with relief.

"When we survive this," Ben said. "I promise I'll make it up to you."

"You better." The corner of Jed's mouth curled up.

Yep, that's it. I know you guys want smut. You dirties. :D Be patient with me.
