They'd arranged to meet Robyn and Jeremy for lunch the next day with baby Jack, and after a partner associate meeting where Max had proudly announced their engagement to Allie's toe curling embarrassment, she was glad to be getting out of the office. The lingering memory of the weekend had been affecting Daniel all morning, and as soon as the elevator doors closed he couldn't help capture Allie around the waist and draw her in for a kiss that turned her legs weak. He released her when the doors opened and took her hand bending down to whisper, "Sorry but not sorry, you're hugely distracting Allie." She couldn't help laugh, "I'm just glad Wendy wasn't waiting on the next floor. She looks like she wants to throw up every time she sees us."

They walked towards the hospital and saw Robyn with the stroller and Jeremy waiting. Robyn squealed and got to Allie first as Jeremy embraced Dan. She grabbed the ring to have a look and they swapped so Jeremy could hold Allie. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her lovingly, "Congratulations best former patient ever. Love you and I'm so happy for both of you." Allie clung to Jeremy tightly, "Love you too Jem." Robyn was whispering to Daniel, "I'm sorry I ever doubted it, but you're made for one another and I'm really happy for you guys." Dan kissed her and said, "I know Robyn, we love you." Allie had moved on to peer in at a sleeping baby Jack. Turning to look at Robyn she said, "You both look great, he's growing so fast Robyn." She laughed back, "I know, he's nearly nine pounds already!" Daniel moved behind her, putting an arm on her shoulder and following her gaze agreeing, "Hell Jem he must take after you, he's so long!" Six Foot two inch Jeremy grinned, "Let's get in before I run out of time, they'll be paging me before I've eaten."

Lunch was short-lived but fun, and when the baby woke Dan and Allie managed to get a brief cuddle each before his screams for food necessitated passing him back to Robyn. All too quickly they had to leave. Robyn was walking back towards the hospital with Jeremy because she'd parked there, so Dan and Allie made their way back to the office. They both had afternoon meetings so they walked briskly chatting about the baby. Just outside the office a voice called out Allie's name and she instinctively turned around. A woman walked towards them, pulling a metal object from her bag. For a split second Daniel had a flashback to Carrie pulling the gun out and aiming at Allie before he realised it was a phone and she was either filming or sound recording. Nevertheless he stood in front of Allie on instinct to protect her while the woman said, "Hi, I'm Jayne Andrews and I'm from Gretchen media. We've been trying to contact you via your attorney but haven't got anywhere. We're making a documentary about what happened to Carrie Miller and we'd like you to give us your side of the story Allie, and you Daniel." Allie gasped and went pale as Daniel grabbed her around the waist and pulled her close, turning and walking towards the entrance whispering "It's okay sweetheart, I've got you Allie, just let's get inside." The woman was following and Daniel managed to attract the security guard's attention and said, "Hey Eddie, this woman needs escorting out, she's pestering Allie can you deal with it?" Eddie glanced at Allie, the pretty English girl who always took the time to say hello and ask how his weekend was and nodded, "Sure thing Mr Miller."

Daniel got her into the lift and she wilted onto his chest where he could feel her trembling. He ran his hand comfortingly over her hair and said "It's okay sweetheart, let's get in and call Max and the guys we used for the restraining order." They swept past Pauline, Everley and Sara on reception and went straight to Max's office. Letting go of Allie Daniel knocked the door and stuck his head around, "You free?" Max stood up "Yeah, what's up?" Daniel steered Allie in and sat her down. Max came over and crouched down next to her taking her hand, "What happened?" Daniel explained and Max got up to look through his window. "Was she wearing a red jacket?" Dan nodded and Max got his phone and dialled. Still looking through the window he recounted what Dan had told him to John and said, "Can you get someone over to move her? It looks like she's planning on waiting for them to come out tonight." He dialled off and said "Don't worry, John's going to get her moved before you guys leave. Dan, why don't you go call Brian Sutherland and Allie, you stay with me and I'll get us a coffee. When's your client meeting?" Allie glanced at her watch, "Thirty minutes."
