Now, some things are unexplainable. Like, the meaning of love. Or how exactly life works. Or how coincidences happen. Or even, how you can out Pizza the Hut. Y'know, things like that.

Another example is how Firey ended up walking to school with this coin jerk. He definitely couldn't explain that.

Coincidentally, it seemed that they lived fairly close and Coiny caught up to him as he was walking. He started rambling and then SOMEHOW they ended up walking together.

"And that was it! I threw up from eating the dirt cake!"

"That's disgusting."

"You're disgusting."

Firey scoffed as he took a bite out of his chocolate bar, which was supposed to be his breakfast. Not the healthiest choice, but, eh.

"How dare you." He muffled out as he held his hand under his chin to make sure no crumbs fell.

They eventually reached school, and...

Huh. Normal.

Oh, wait. Nevermind. Sort of?

They both saw a girl wearing red and silver, she seemed to be putting up posters.

"Class President..?"

"Oh. Oh no. This is bad." Firey turned to the shorter.

He tilted his head, "What?"

"I always forget you're new. Okay so—" He opened his locker, putting most of his books inside, "That's Pin, she's pretty organized and people call her a 'wannabe leader.' I actually think she's pretty cool, to be hone—"

"GETTOTHEPOINT."

"YEESH—Okay, she runs for class president every year-"

"Mhm.."

"-Buuttt so does Leafy. And they have a huge rivalry over it, it's really dumb honestly."

".. Right." Firey groaned. He had a pretty strong feeling there wasn't gonna be an ounce of peace here. On the bright side, things wouldn't be boring.

"They ACTUALLY used to be best friends until this year—then both of them basically started gaining more popularity for different reasons, started to envy eachother, and things went from there. Then they started trying to one up eachother."

"Huh. That's petty."

SHMACK.

"ACK-"

Out of nowhere, he felt a paper harshly stuck onto his head as it sent him stumbling into a locker, smacking his head into it.

What another great way to start off the day.

"..Oh. Oops." He turned around to see the very girl they were talking about, sheepishly gazing at him. "I meant to hit—another locker."

"Do I look like a locker to you?" He peeled the now half burnt paper off his head, holding it up with two fingers as if it was something..disgusting.

"Yeah, uh- no. Sorry. I was pretty focused and kinda rushing." She chuckled a bit.

Firey stared. "...Maybe you should try to pay more attentio-"

"ITS TOTALLY COOL!" Coiny interrupted him, suddenly, to his annoyance. "How about you join us for lunch later today?"

"Oh. Sure thing!" Pin smiles, before straightening up her papers and walking off.

"Did you-.. did you like-.. did you HAVE to interrupt me-"

"Oh I did? Didn't notice. Sorry." The other shrugged, Firey raising a brow. "Are you like—in love with this girl or something?"

"That's a pretty strong phrase—anyway let's get to class." He dragged him along suddenly, much to his dismay.

SSSSHRICK!

She ripped the paper off the wall, throwing it in the garbage and replacing it with something..much more appealing, in her eyes.

LEAFY as CLASS PRESIDENT!
"I won't let you all down!"

Much better.

"Isn't that violation?"

Leafy flinched, hard, and looked back at the voice with wide eyes.

"D—.." She paused. "Please don't scare me like that," She chuckled nervously.

"Oh yeah..sorry about that. Anyways, isn't that a little unfair to the other girl?"

"Huh?"

".. Pin."

"What about her?"

"..You just ripped off her poster and replaced it with yours."

"Oh, she just asked me to take it off cause..its outdated. Yknow, just friendly competition stuff! Gotta help a gal pal in need!"

"Gal..pal? Aren't you two enemies?"

"Now where did you hear that?"

"Coiny?"

"No idea where he got that idea from, but I can tell you right now, we're the bestest of friends! I'm wishing her good luck as we speak!" Leafy smiled.

"Riight.."

"Now, how about you help a friendo out and put up these posters with me?"

"..Actually I have t-"

"Awesome!" She gave him a pile, and continued getting rid of her own, letting the wall take the posters.

Firey sighed. He really didn't wanna do this all break, but he had a feeling that if he refuses she'd just gaslight him into doing it, so..

He started putting up the posters.

"Why are you always so pushy?"

"Pushy? Nah, I'm just persistent! That's how you gotta be in life!"

"..Yeah, you could overwhelm or annoy somebody, though."

"Well, that hasn't happened before."

"That's obviously a lie."

She gave him a perplexed, almost sad look. "I seriously don't know what you mean, Firey."

"You're just putting up an act! It's so obvious, the only reason it's not pointed out is because nobody wants to deal with your BS."

"That's a little mean-!"

"I don't care."

They continued putting up the posters in silence.

It's only the second school day.
