Sparkle Like a Superstar

Chapter 19

Hope people won't mind, I am sure you will recognize the lyrics for the song the animatronics will sing. I've made changes to the lyrics, hopefully they are not too cringey, even though I feel the changes were somewhat necessary.

Saphira was so glad when the time finally ticked over to twelve, after dealing with the screeching woman from the daycare she had more people to deal with. She ended up dealing with people in the Prize Corner, Superstarcade, Fazcade, Mazercise and Glamrock Beauty Salon, and even the Shy Foxette again. It was already an exhausting night, and Saphira wanted to just put her feet up and relax. She got herself two cups of soda when the time ticked over before making her way to the rehearsal room. She had seen this area on the cameras, it was mostly empty with a basic stage, seats and lighting. It was not an impressive room, but it was a rehearsal room and it was not meant to look glamorous. She was the first one in the room however, Saphira was fine with that and she found herself a seat with a table to place the cups on. She looked at her Fazwatch to check the cameras while she sipped the coke from one of the cups. She saw that the technicians and animatronics were still in Parts and Service, it seemed they were still working on Roxy right now and that was fine. There must have been a set back so she had to wait a little bit longer. She was fine with that, she needed a little alone time right now because she was done dealing with people. It would be obvious to anyone who sees her as her hair was a little messy from dealing with them, although she doubted the animatronics would even really realize the reason for that. Nonetheless, Saphira waited patiently while doing her security camera rounds on the Fazwatch.

Fifteen minutes pass and she finished, she checked in on Parts and Service to find it was empty. She smiled and realized they were coming. She looked up at the door waiting for them to come through, she wondered if she would hear the music, or just the song. She knew that the performance music was on a disc, which meant they don't necessarily have to play it here. The door opens and she sees Cliff stepping inside with Dave, Mason, Jack, Daisy and Marian behind him, followed by all the animatronics. Freddy was the first to walk in and he spotted Saphira straight away, he waved at her with a smile and she waved back.

"Evening Saphira. Looks like you have had a rough night." Daisy observed as she noticed the two drink cups and her messy hair. Saphira sighed deeply and nodded at her. "Eh, people can be so annoying."

"Tell me about it." She rubbed the bridge of her nose and smiled at her. "But I get to relax now and see what goes on in the rehearsal."

"You do indeed," Cliff said with a chuckle, taking a seat by a control panel and glancing at Dave who was side eyeing Saphira with a glare. "Dave, you can accompany me with diagnostics tonight. That way you can focus on something other than your warning."

Dave grumbled and sits down heavily beside Cliff, looking away from Saphira who rolled her eyes. Saphira glanced at the animatronics as they make their way to the stage. Freddy walked up to the microphone and looked at Saphira, he noticed her hair was messy and he had overheard what Daisy had said. She did seem to be tired tonight, he hoped that she would not be too terribly tired to enjoy the rehearsal. Saphira noticed the other animatronics had their instruments as well, she glanced at Monty and he seemed to be excited. She glanced at his hands and they seemed different.

"Did you get your new claws Monty?" Saphira asked curiously, the gator looked up at her in surprise when she addressed him. "They look a little different, they are a little longer and more curved than before."

"You...noticed that?" Monty asked, not believing that the night guard noticed something different about him. She nodded and smiled at him. "Oh...well...yeah I did. They were finally installed tonight." He glanced at Cliff with a frown. "And about time too. Let's hope they work well, or I am going to be destroying a few things tonight."
