Chapter 47

Saphira was a bit overwhelmed seeing the large array of beauty products on Roxy's desk. Apparently this was the sample items that are sold at the salon, and Roxy intended on allowing her to use them. But Saphira was not able to afford this kind of stuff. As much as she wanted to buy better quality skin and hair products, she was just unable to at this time. Even with a good wage now, she still had to wait to buy great products.

"Alright kid, time to get started..." Roxy gestured for Saphira to take a seat on the chair in front of the mirror. Saphira hesitated. "Are you scared of me Saphira? I think we are past that now, don't you think?" She shakes her head at Roxy, a guilty expression spreading across her face. Roxy softened her expression and stepped forward. "What is bothering you?"

"It's just...I can't afford that stuff Roxy..." Saphira gestured to the products on the vanity. "It is nice you want to help me, but I am not made of money. I know you never have to deal with money, lucky you, but at the moment I can't afford better products than what I can already afford."

Roxy smiled at her, folding her arms as she looked at her. "You know I am giving these to you right? This is the free sample pack from the salon, and I insist you take it home with you. Come, sit and you will see that you will love them."

"If you say so..." Saphira walked over to the large chair, huffing a little as it took some effort to get seated as it was meant for Roxy to sit in. Once she was seated though, Saphira looked up at the wolf and saw she was wagging her tail. "You are really excited about this aren't you?"

"Freddy and I once tried a relationship before Saphira, I am sure he has told you that." She nodded, not knowing if this should be awkward or not since Roxy brought it up and not her. "However, Freddy is nice and all...but not my type. But while we might only be friends now, I still care for him deeply Saphira. And I now care for you. I intend on ensuring you are at peak performance like he is."

She smiled at the wolf, she was way too nice. "You are very sweet Roxy."

"Just don't go around telling anyone else that. I don't want everyone going sweet on me." Saphira chuckled at Roxy as the wolf pulled the tray of products closer and pulled out two small bottles with her fingers. "Ooh yes, these are lovely. Now, I know you are awake all night as this is meant to be used in the mornings. Though you can apply these to your face when you wake up for you night shift. Together, they lift your skin, add some much-needed vitamins, and give your skin a healthy glow. Sadly to say Saphira...you don't have that."

Saphira smirked slightly, she wasn't going to deny that, her skin was clean and clear, and that was it. "I know Roxy. They sound great honestly." She took the two small tubes to look at the ingredients. "Pretty high quality too."

"Of course, I never settle on the worst." Roxy grabbed the next lotion in a round container. "This one can be used before you sleep. It helps to rejuvenate your skin while you sleep, leaving it nice and soft all day long. Oh! And the body lotions..." She pulled out three tubes and Saphira giggled at her. "They can be applied at any time, but not together. They will make your skin smooth, soft and helps to repair any scar damage and have good, healthy vitamins again for your skin to absorb. Hmm..." She looked at Saphira to see she was still listening intently. "Does human skin really absorb stuff?"

"Yes is does Roxy, that is why good products like these are essential to use to prevent damage to the skin." Saphira smiled as she looked at the products. "These are really nice, thanks Roxy."

"I am not done. The shampoo and conditioner here is great for dry and normal hair, they help to stop breakage in the strands and create a healthy, natural bounce. I know Freddy loves your hair so we will give him a reason to love it more." Roxy chuckled softly along with Saphira as she did not disagree. "They come in different scents, of course, Freddy isn't going to be able to smell the shampoo and conditioner until we get our scent receptors...hopefully you can figure out when we can get them. Anyway, lastly is the perfumes. Again, I am sure you will wait until Freddy can smell them, but perfumes are important too of course." Roxy had a very proud expression on her face as she watched Saphira look at each product. "I hope you will use them when you take them with you."
