Chapter 9: The "Date"

(Narrator's POV)

Steve decided that he needed Alice to be able to handle their home once again. So he decided a date, but it was more like a threpay. He went to his freezer and grabbed Melissa's whole ass spine and rib cage.

He took it outside and chainsawed it so he had some left over for his clients. He then took his part, and bought it back inside. He then cooked it into a pasta. He made plates and poured himself some wine. Alice didn't like that stuff.

He then got dressed and walked to their room to see Alice sitting on their bed with her knees placed under her chin. It broke his heart to see her like that. All that tense in a place where she is supposed to feel safe.

Steve: "Bunny. I made us some dinner. Do you want to eat?"

Alice looked up at Steve and nodded her head, and he walked over to her. Alice moved to sit on the side of the bed, and Steve placed his hand on her shoulder. This caused her to tense up.

Steve: "Don't you worry Bunny. Eric is all gone, and he can't hurt you anymore."

Alice nodded her head, and Steve helped her off the bed. He then held her hand as they walked back to the kitchen. He helped her up on a stool and then moved to make her some juice.

Steve: "So how did you sleep?"

Alice looked down at her plate and remembered her dream...well more like nightmare. She had a nightmare of her time with Eric, and in her dream it was Steve that was shot instead of Eric.

Alice: "I-I had a nightmare."

Steve sighed and nodded his head. He knew that she would have nightmares.

Steve: "What was it about?"

He placed her glass in front of her, and sat down on the stool in front of her.

Alice: "I-I-It was my time with E-E-Eric. A-And...and that you were s-shot instead of him."

Steve nodded his head. He knew that she would have nightmares of that. It pained his heart really, but he also blamed Noa and Mollie for that. Since if Noa didn't tell Alice anything, nor talk her into leaving the house, then Eric wouldn't have gotten her.

And if Mollie didn't text her the address, then she would be just lost. Though Steve wouldn't want his Bunny lost, just safe in his home.

Steve: "Well you don't need to worry Bunny. I am here and not dead. And you aren't with Eric anymore. He's the dead one."

Alice nodded her head slowly, and picked at her food.

Steve: "Bunny, how about you eat it? I made it special for you."

Alice nodded her head, and picked up some of the pasta with her fork. She then shoved the food in her mouth and started to eat it. Alice moaned at the taste of the food, and it made Steve happy that she liked it.

Steve: "*Chuckles* I see that you like it~?"

Alice smiled and nodded her head. They started eating their food, and had a great time. Steve knew not to trigger Alice into a panic attack. Most things did that know.

Such as yelling, throwing things, getting into her face it doesn't matter if your not yelling at her, getting drunk, touching her places she doesn't like. He once when they first started their friendship, touched her on her lower back, and she tensed up.

She told him that Eric use to touch her there to lead her places or make her move faster. He once forced her into a clinic cause Alice was late on her period, and he told her "I KNOW you are pregnant! Fucken listen to me or else!" His plan was for her to get an abortion. He didn't care if it was her choice or not. He didn't want kids.
