Luz knocked twice on the large door of Blight manor and shifted her weight from foot to foot. She could hear Amity's parents talking loudly on the other side and felt a little awkward. After a minute or two of this, her mother Odalia opened the door with a tight smile.

"Hello... human. You are here for our Amity I assume?" "Um yes. Lovely to meet you... again. I was wondering if I could take Amity out... to hang out with me... as friends...?" Luz asked awkwardly. She wasn't exactly sure if Odalia would approve.

"I'm sure she would like that... Amity! One of your friends is here to see you!" "Coming mom!!" Amity shouted as she hopped down the stairs. "Luz! What's up? She asked casually as her mother walked back down the hall. "I was wondering if you would like to hang out."

"That sounds fun," Amity smiled and turned on her heel, "I'll be right back! I'm gonna grab my stuff!" Luz smiled contentedly up at her girlfriend and was suddenly greeted by the older Blight twins. "Hey Human! Here to take Mittens out?" Emira asked cheerfully.

"Um yeah. We're gonna hang out." Luz explained, slightly caught off guard. "I have a date also." Edric offered with a proud look on his face. "No you don't loser." His sister said humorously. "How would you know?" He asked offended. Luz shook her head.

That's when Amity walked down the stairs holding her bag and wearing a purple hoodie that matched her hair. "Are they annoying you?" She asked Luz, giving her siblings, who were arguing, suspicious looks. "No they're fine, let's just go." The human reassured and grabbed her witch's hand.

Amity blushed and nodded as they walked down the wooded path. "So what do you want to do?" "Well, while we were trying to rebuild Eda's door portal, something went wrong and now we can visit the human realm but we can't interact with the people there, they can't see us. It is pretty stable though, so I thought I could show you around... like a date."

"Really? That sounds so cool. Ever since you got here I've been wondering about what your life must've been like." "Okay. I thought we could pack some food and bring this old tent Eda found and camp there, if you want." "Cool. I've never been camping but I've heard about it."

They continued to walk in comfortable silence until they saw the Owl House in the distance. "Race you!" Luz shouted, letting go of Amity's hands and taking off in a sprint. "No fair! You got a head start!" Amity laughed as she ran close behind.

Luz obviously won and when Amity reached Hooty as well, the both stopped to catch their breath. Before Hooty could say anything, the two girls hopped up and ran into the large house. Eda and Lilith were sitting on the couch looking over Eda's old school year book.

"Hey girls. You guys gonna go camping?" Lilith asked, looking excited. "Yeah, Luz told me you guys almost rebuilt it right this time. You found more titan's blood?" "Yeah," Eda said energetically, "was hard to find too, took a week."

"Where's King?" Luz interrupted, looking around for the cute, little demon. "He's asleep... somewhere." Eda shrugged. "Well, we're gonna go get the camping stuff now." Luz said, grabbing Amity's hand and pulling her towards the stairs to her room.

"I already packed us some snacks and clothes. I also grabbed the tent!" The human explained, excitedly motioning towards a large bag and a pop up tent. "I'll grab the blankets!" Amity offered and scooped some up. "Onward! To adventure!" Luz whooped as the girls ran down the stairs.

She then opened a random, wooden closet door off to the side of an empty hall. It surprised Amity how big the Owl House was, it always seemed like there were hundreds of rooms to explore. Inside was a small makeshift portal, covered in miscellaneous human things and connected to a small bottle of titan's blood.

"How do you turn it on?" Amity asked, intrigued. "Like this." Luz said, setting down the bags and pulling on a lever made from an old broom handle. The portal flickered to life and the rectangular doorway was now lit up with swirly purple and green light.

"Whoa!" Amity exclaimed, almost dropping the blankets. Luz led the way and they were both blinded by the bright light of the sun. Amity stood in awe and scanned the green wilderness and tall trees, while Luz started setting up the tent and threw the bag of snacks and clothes inside.

"Hey, Mittens!" She said and Amity snapped out of her trance and threw the blankets inside. "I'll show you around. I think there's a nearby town over here." Luz offered as she grabbed her stunned girlfriend by the hand.

"Thanks for taking me here... It's so different from the demon realm." "Anything for you, my dear." Luz responded with a goofy accent. Both girls walked out of the human public park hand in hand and entered a small suburb.

The purple haired witch was in awe, she couldn't believe her human came from such a beautiful place. All the while, Luz explained what rain is like there and what humans do instead of catch spells. After hours of this the witches were exhausted and found their way back to their little camp to eat.

They watched the sun set as they ate the food they packed and talked about their day. The whole time it was as if they were ghosts. Not one human saw them or spoke to them and it was rather strange, but there really only needed each other.

After the sun set, it was starting to get chillier than it had been, so they huddled together close inside their old tent. "I'm glad you like the human realm, Mittens." Luz yawned as she pulled a large blanket around them and wrapped her arm around Amity.

"I'm glad I do too." Amity managed. Blushing, she kissed Luz's cheek and hugged her close. "Goodnight, human." She said lovingly.
