Luz scrambled around her room trying to pack her bag and comb her hair at the same time. "Luz! I made you some food for school!" Eda called from downstairs loudly. "I helped!" The human heard Lilith exclaim.

"Thanks! As long as it's not alive... I'm sure it's great!" Luz responded loudly as she pulled on her hoodie and grabbed her bag. Like usual, she was incredibly excited for another day at magic school, though she really missed her mama at home.

Thankfully, she had been able to recently contact her but her mother's absence still saddened her. Pushing the sad thought away, Luz remembered her lateness and hopped down the stairs.

"Good morning, Luz." Lilith, still in her robe, remarked warmly and handed the brown paper bag to her. "I don't think it's alive." Eda winked, appearing by the door in her red dress. "Make the other witches tremble in fear!" King encourages in his usual adorable manner.

"I... will... Thanks everyone! See you later!" Luz exclaimed, with a smile, as she turned to run out the front door and out into the forest. With a little luck, she would make it to her class on time. After a short run, she managed to get to Hexside right as the bell screamed.

"YES!" She celebrated, pumping her fist into the air. "Made it!" Then she scrambled all the way to abomination class. "You're late." The abomination master stated matter of factly. "Yes," Luz nodded sheepishly, "my bad... Sir."

He waved her off and continued to read from the chalkboard. Amity motioned to her from across the room and Luz took a seat at her table. "Nice one, Human." Amity whispered with an endearing tone. "Thanks, Miss Blight." Luz joked.

"Hey... we have a break fourth period... do you wanna hang out?" Amity whispered, blushing slightly. "Of course." Then the two went back to taking notes and smiling at each other. After class, the girls parted ways and Luz went to her potions class.

She learned of so many and she didn't even need to be a witch to make them. Her third period was with Willow, who had asked Luz to teach her about the plant glyphs she had learned. They spent most of the time doodling while Luz kept trying to get Willow to make different kinds of Earth flowers.

Finally, it was fourth period so she waved goodbye to Willow, who shrugged, and walked to Amity's locker. The purple-haired witch was standing there, looking a little nervous, and toying with her new blue bracelet. "Hey Luz."

"Uh... Hey Amity." Luz smiled, slightly confused. Amity's face suddenly filled with mischief, "Follow me." She whispered and pulled her human by her hand down the hall . They walked like that for a bit.

"Where are you taking me?" Luz asked, her face warm. "Well... you've seen the Bonesbourough Library, where I work, but I don't think you've seen the Hexside school library. So, I thought I could show you..." Amity explained vibrantly.

"Oh. Okay." Luz managed. She liked it when Amity was more confident, though it was fun to make her flustered and nervous. Luz couldn't tell if these butterflies were fun or not though. "Here." Amity said as they reached the library; an extremely tall room with floor to ceiling shelves full of books.

"Whoa." Luz exclaimed, eyes wide, "It's like a maze." "I know right, come on!" Amity whispered."Over here. There's this really big, warm, squishy couch! I was thinking we could sit on it and read... maybe." Amity suggested warmly as she pulled some books from her bag.

"Azura one through three! Asombrosa!" Luz whisper-screamed happily. Setting their bags down, the girls climbed on to the large beanbag-like couch and began to read. They were quite close and very warm as Amity began to read the first book.

After a while, the bell screamed and Amity jumped up with a worried expression. "Amity-" Luz started. "We're gonna be late! I can't get in trouble! My parents will think I SKIPPED CLASS."

Warmly, Luz hopped up. "Calm down, Amity. That's not even our bell." Amity's face flushed, embarrassed, and she chuckled awkwardly. "Oh." Luz smiled at her with such love and good humor that Amity couldn't manage any other words.

She simply calmed herself and pulled Luz towards the comfy couch and hugged her. "Thanks Luz." They both stood there in each other's arms for a second before Luz smirked and pulled Amity onto the couch. "Hey!" Amity laughed.

They laid side by side for a second before Amity turned to face her girlfriend. "What is it, Mittens?" Luz teased. There was silence for a second as they stared. Then "Mittens" cupped Luz's face in her hands and smiled. "Can I kiss you?"

Luz laughed nervously as she felt her girlfriend's warm fingers on her skin. "Of course! I- mean... sounds good." Amity laughed and pressed her lips to Luz's. The human squeaked slightly as one of Amity's hands moved from her face to her waist.

After some seconds, they pulled away and Amity could feel Luz's warm breath on her lips. They kissed again gentler before pressing their foreheads together and smiling. "I- really like you, Amity." "And I like you, Luz Noceda."
