Alex had the best sleep in years. She woke up laying with her head on Joyce's chest. Joyce played with Alex hair. Alex didn't want to open her eyes. She wanted to enjoy the moment. Joyce knew Alex was awake but didn't cared. Joyce kissed Alex forehead and laid Alex head carefully down from her chest to the mattress. Joyce left the room leaving Alex in her bed. Alex kept her eyes closed wishing the mattress was Joyce chest. Joyce left the door open when she left the room.
Alex heard Joyce talking to Jonathan. Then someone knocked on the door. It was Jim. Alex heard them arguing over the phone call. Alex knew Jim wouldn't believe Joyce. Joyce cried out in disbelief.
"Is Alex here?", Jim asked changing the subject when Joyce brought up his daughter. "Yeah I let her stay here because of the storm", Joyce said. "I need her for work today, could you tell her? We need every help we can get and Alex is still an officer", Jim said. "Yeah I'm gonna tell her when she's awake", Joyce said lying that Alex is still asleep wanting to keep her a bit longer. Jim left the house followed by Jonathan also leaving the house god knows where he went.
Alex laid in the bed for a bit longer. She wasnt a Morning Person. She likes to stay up till midnight or longer but she hated to stay up. Especially in this bed which smells after Joyce. Some footsteps came closer to the room. "Good morning my dear", Joyce said. "Good morning Joyce", Alex Said smiling Looking at Joyce. Admiring her once again. "I think u laid long enough in bed now common stand up", Joyce said walking towards the bed. "But I don't want tooooooo", Alex whined. "The bed smells so good", she continued. "Then im gonna eat breakfast alone", Joyce said on her way out of the room. "Wait no okay im gonna stand up", Alex said standing up.
Joyce and Alex walked together to the kitchen table to eat breakfast. Alex sat down on the table where food was already prepared. Joyce put on the radio before she sat down next to Alex. Tek it from Cafunê came on. They both started to eat.
"Your uncle came here, we talked about the phone call and that he needs you for work today", she said. "Yeah I know, I was already awake but the bed was so comfy", Alex said earning a chuckle from Joyce. Gosh this woman is going threw so much and this one person, Alex can make her smile. What an amazing feeling for Alex.
They ate in silence until Joyce spoke up "Do you have a significant other?". "A what?", Alex asked. "A boyfriend you silly", Joyce said. "Oh no that's not really my Area", said Alex finishing her breakfast. "Area?", Joyce asked curious. "Im not interested in boys", Alex Said thinking she would have giving enough hints. But Joyce just raised an eyebrow still not getting it. "Im attracted to women", Alex said. "Ohhh", Joyce Said finally getting it.
"Do you have a significant other?", Alex asked. "Ahh no not really, the father of Will and Jonathan is toxic, he left us to go live the city", she said. "I think I might also be attracted to women", Joyce said under her breath. "Mhm you think so?", Alex said while her eyes dropped to Joyce lips. "Yeah", she said also looking to Alex lips. They started to get closer not breaking the intense stare to their lips. Before they both could even think their lips crashed together. Joyce lips tasted after Vanilla mixed with cigarettes. Alex fought the urge to breath. She didn't want it to stop. Never stop. "Yeah I think I like girls", Joyce said against Alex lips.
"I really wanted to do that for so long", Joyce said holding Alex chin with her one hand. Joyce started to brush her thumb against Alex chin, giving Alex some sort of comfort. Alex melted into Joyce hand. "I think I should go to work", Alex said standing up, breaking away from Joyce, walking towards to Joyce bedroom to get her clothes. Alex quickly changed her clothes and laid Joyce clothes on the bed.
"Should I check on you later?", Alex said walking out of Joyce bedroom. "Yeah sure why not", Joyce said. Alex left for work.
