VALENCIA walked by the fast-food place where yesterday's trouble started. She really wanted a pancake from that restaurant, but she was too afraid to go into her favorite fast-food place.
Napasimangot siya dahil gutom na gutom pa naman siya. "Kainis naman kasi 'yang ex ni Boss Shien. Di makamove-on parang timang," aniya sa sarili habang nakatanaw sa loob ng fast-food restaurant. Hindi na niya mas lalong pinahirapan ang sarili niya kaya umalis na siya para puntahan ang coffee shop kung saan siya kadalasang bumibili ng kape para kay Shien. Hindi naman iyon masyadong kalayuan sa opisina nila kaya alam niya hindi pa rin siya male-late.
Sinipat niya ang kanyang relong pambisig. May kwarenta minutos pa siya. Nang papasok siya ng coffee shop ay agad siyang binati ng crew. Kilala na siya rito dahil araw-araw ba naman siyang bumibili ng kape ni Shien dito.
"Good Morning, Miss Vega! bati sa kanya ni Sandy nang nasa counter na siya.
"Good Morning, Sandy!" she smiled at here and looked at their menu. "The usual nalang Sands at pakidagdagand nalang ng clubhouse sandwich dalawa."
"Sige, Miss Vega. We'll prepare your order na po," anito sa kanya.
"Thank you, Sands. Hintayin ko lang."
Umupo na muna si Valencia sa isa sa mga upuan doon para hintayin ang order niya. She got her phone out from her bag to check her emails. Hindi naman masyadong hectic ngayon ang schedule ni Shien dahil malapit na rin matapos ang branch nito sa Davao. Natatapos na rin agad ng binata ang mga dapat trabahuin dahil hindi na ito tambay sa bar. She was really thankful because she could rest well. Hindi na siya napupuyat sa pagsundo kay Shien at mas lalong hindi na siya nakokonsomisyon kapag nakikipagharutan ito sa iba. Ilang araw ng hindi nalalasing ang boss niya labis niya namang ikinasaya.
She was scrolling through her Facebook feed when she came upon a friend request. When she viewed it, she was surprised to learn that it was a friend request from Shien Adler himself. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she shook her head in confusion. She accepted it immediately. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage. As far as she was aware, Shien is a very secretive and reserved individual. The man has made it clear in the past that he has no interest in maintaining any social media profiles.
She stalked his Facebook page. She observed that he only has three friends: Ruche, Riggs, and her. That was very intriguing. She scrolled down again and saw that he had posted photos three days ago. Valencia sucked in a deep breath.
Sa party iyon ng abuela nila Shien. Shien's hands and hers were clasped together in the shot. Hindi niya alam kung paano iyon nakuhanan pero sigurado siyang kamay niya iyon. She was wearing Jayra's ring that time. Tinignan niya muli ang caption ng picture. Nangunit siya nang makita niya ito.
