Chapter 1

Third Person Pov:

"Show time A-Holes, it will be here any minute" Peter said as he checked his small device that started beeping. "Which will be its loss" Gamora said as she was loading up her gun. "I thought your thing was a sword?" Peter asked. "We've been hired to stop an inter dimensional beast from feeding on those batteries and I'm gonna stop it with a sword?" Gamora said. "It's just. Swords were your thing and guns were mine" Peter said. "Yo, StarShit your not the only one who works with guns" Phoenix said as she was helping Rocket make the speakers so they can play tunes while they work. "Yeah, perfectly knew that" Peter said. "Drax,why aren't you wearing one of Rocket's and Phoenix's aero-rigs?" Gamora asked. "It hurts" Drax said quietly. "Hurts?" Gamora said. "I have sensitive nipples" Drax said. Phoenix and Rocket then started dying of laughter. "My Nipples hurt!" Rocket exclaimed through laughs. "Oh goodness me!" Phoenix said through laughs. "What about them? What are they doing?" Drax asked pointing towards Rocket and Phoenix. "We're finishing this so we can listen to tunes while we work" Phoenix said. "How is that important?" Drax asked. "Blame Quill. He's the one who loves music so much" Rocket said. "No, I agree with Drax on this" Peter said. "That's hardly important right now" Peter said. "Oh okay, sure Quill" Rocket said winking but did a absolute terrible job at it. Phoenix saw this and face palmed. "No seriously I side with Drax" Peter said. "No we understand that your being very serious right now" Phoenix said winking better than how Rocket did. "I was clear able to see that Rocket was winking" Drax said. "Damn it. I'm using my left eye" Rocket said. "Yeah, I gotta teach you how to wink Rocket" Phoenix said. Phoenix then heard some slight little war cries and saw that it was their new born child and best friend Groot. "I am Groot" Groot said. "They weren't looking at you funny" Phoenix said. Then a few seconds later a very slimy creature came out of a portal. Rocket sighed. "We'll, that's intense" Rocket said. Phoenix then got her gun out. "Not as intense as taking down Ronan" she said. As the creature then landed on the ground attacking everyone Groot on the other hand took the cable of the speakers and plugged them in just to hear the song "Mr. Blue Sky" and started dancing to it as everyone else was getting their butts kicked. As Groot was dancing he then came across a small little light that was beneath him and got distracted by it he didn't see Peter land right behind him. "Groot!" Peter called out just to be shoved away by the creature. Groot then just continued dancing not even minding and or noticing the chaos that was happening. "Groot, get out of the way your gonna get hurt!" Gamora said looking towards the little tree. Groot then waved at her saying hi. "Hi" Gamora said then went back into the fight.  Just as Groot was dancing yet again he then heard Drax fall right behind him and every time Drax would look towards Groot, Groot would pause and stay still until Drax looked away. Groot then saw a tiny little bug that was just flying around which made Groot start chasing it. Groot then caught the bug and shoved it in his mouth. As Rocket and Phoenix were fighting along side each other Rocket then saw what Groot did and flew towards him. "No! Spit it out!" Rocket said as he tried getting the bug out of Groot's mouth then slapped him slightly behind the head to get the bug out. Phoenix saw this and wasn't that happy when she saw that. Ever since Groot became a child Phoenix had been quite overprotective with Groot and if anyone dares to do anything terrible to her child she would make sure they would be taken care of. After Rocket had came back she looked at him. "Hey Rocket, next time you see Groot try to shove a bug in his mouth don't slap him behind the head next time okay?" Phoenix said. "Okay, sorry about that I'm just not used to this kind of thing you know" Rocket said. "Hey, if you ever need help you can always come to me" Phoenix said. "We'll do this whole parenting thing together, If your the father I would most happily be the mother" Phoenix said. Rocket felt his tail frizz out a bit and he felt warm under his fur and still didn't know why. Phoenix then felt her face redden up a bit then looked away from Rocket. Phoenix didn't notice at first but Rocket then flew towards her and put his small little hands right on her cheek cupping it. She looked towards Rocket. They stayed like that for a short while until Phoenix Cleared her throat. "Um, I'll just get back to helping the others" she said. "Yeah,Yeah" Rocket said taking his small hand off her cheek. Later on as Groot was still dancing Drax then came falling towards the speakers then fell on top of them just for them to be destroyed. Groot then yelled and ran towards Drax and hit him for destroying the speakers. Drax then slowly got up looking straight at the beast. "The beasts hide is too thick to be pierced from the outside" Drax said. "I must cut through the it from the inside" Drax said. "Huh?" Gamora asked. Drax then laughed and went running towards the beast. "No, No! Drax,Wait a minute!" Gamora said but it was to late after that. Drax then jumped high up in the air then got eaten by the beast. "What is he doing" Peter asked. "He said the skin is to thick on the outside so he..." Gamora said but got cut off. "He's fucking idiot! That doesn't make any sense!" Phoenix yelled from where she was at. "I tried telling him that!" Gamora yelled back. "Skin is the same level of thickness from the inside as from the outside!" Peter said. "I realized that" Gamora said. "There's a cut on its neck" Peter said. "Rocket, Phoenix get it to look up" Peter said. "Hey, you giant see monkey! Up here!" Phoenix yelled as she was shooting the beast. "Watch it Quill!" Rocket said. The beast then let out some rainbow Soundwave that hit both Rocket and Phoenix making their guns both set on fire. Phoenix then took both guns and threw them away before they would explode. "Rocket! Catch!" Phoenix said as she threw Rocket a small device. "What the hell is this!" Rocket asked as he saw the device. "Press the button!" Phoenix said. Rocket then spotted a small little button and pressed it just to see a huge gun to appear and it was a nice gun.

"How'd you learn to make this?" Rocket asked as he looked at the gun then at the device that Phoenix had. Phoenix shrugged. "My uncle taught me how to make small devices and gadgets" Phoenix said as she got her gun out. Rocket looked at Phoenix and smiled. ::And that's why I love you:: Rocket thought. "Rocket watch out!" Phoenix yelled. Rocket then turned around just to see the beasts tendrils swing towards them both. But before they could both get out of the way the beast had grabbed them. Gamora then jumped in the air towards the beast with her sword and sliced it's neck making it tumble down. Drax then shouted happily and got out of the beast by the huge cut that was in its neck. Drax then laughed just as Peter,Phoenix and Rocket were coming back. "Yes! I have single handedly vanquished the beast!" Drax exclaimed just to see Groot throw a rock at him. "What?" Drax asked. "Please Drax at this rate you would have been dead by now if it weren't for us" Phoenix said. "I wouldn't have needed your help anyway" Drax said. Phoenix scoffed and walked towards the battery area. "What are they called again?" Drax asked. "Anulax Batteries" Peter said. "Harbulary batteries" Drax said. "You at least weren't that stupid, you got the battery part right" Phoenix said as she stood along side with Rocket just so they can both steal these batteries. Just as Peter was giving Drax a small lecture about the batteries Phoenix checked if the coast was clear and looked towards Rocket and nodded meaning that they could steal the batteries right now Rocket took one and so did Phoenix. "Careful what you say around these folks. Their easily offended." Peter said. "Pfft, Yeah easily offended means their a whole bunch of pansy's and losers who don't know how to take sarcasm, a smart remark and or a mean compliment" Phoenix said. "Watch what you say Phoenix I know you to well so you better keep your mouth shut" Peter said which made Phoenix roll her eyes. "You to Rocket" Peter said.
