"John is your brother? Y...You're lying." Calie breathed.

"No, I'm not, I'm still wondering why John took you and your other... friends in," Viper said. "Why he sent you to destroy my building."

Calie glared at Viper. It hurt to even breath, she was still twitching from all the volts.

"We don't like each other but still..." Viper said slowly, before undoing Calie from her bindings.

She dropped to the ground and she took a sharp breath in.

"Come on give it your best shot," Viper sneered, throwing a gun on the ground, next to her. "I know you're terrified of getting shot again... of being confined to that wheel chair again." He whispered as he watched Calie's shaking hands pick up the gun, aiming it at him.

Calie slowly got up with shaky feet. Never taking her eyes off his, she pulled the trigger. Blank....Blank......Blank.
She pulled the trigger one more time and a bullet came out but it never reached Viper.

Viper stood there with two fingers out in front of the bullet. "You're not the only one with powers you know." As soon as those words left his mouth the bullet turned and sped towards Calie, stopping right in front her heart before dropping to the ground.

Calie dropped to her knees, sobbing. "What do you want from me!?"

"How far would you go to stay alive? To protect your friends?" Viper smirked.

"I told you to stay together. WAS THAT SO DAMN HARD?!" John shouted.

"Well... you can track her... can't you?" Aria asked desperately.

"No... Viper probably destroyed the tracker." John sighed.

"What's the deal with you and this Viper guy?" Ella demanded.

"He's my brother."

Everyone except for Ella gasped. "Why would you go after your brother? What did he do?" Ella asked.

"Well I scarred his pretty little face and he took my eye." John shrugged.

"What the hell...Can you see out of it? And why does it look so... normal?" Nina asked.

"I created an eye. Yes I can see out of it... anyway, I have to figure out how to get Calie back before she... changes."

"Changes how?" Aria breathed.

"They aren't coming back for you... You're holding them back. They are better off without you." Viper whispered in Calie's ear.

"That's not true." Calie said, her voice firm but actually Viper was voicing all of her fears.

"Ruby!" Viper called out.

A girl, about 17 years old walked out of the shadows. She was fully clothed in black leather. She walked towards Viper and bowed her head.

"Calie, meet ruby... the future you. An emotion less killing machine."

Calie looked in her eyes the iris was red and indeed emotion less. "What the hell did you do to her?!"

"She's a soldier, the perfect weapon."

So short... I'm really sorry I will update more frequently. Just a sneak peek at what is in store for Calie. Will she succumb to the darkness? Or will John and the girls find her just in time?
