First Flower for a First Smile

After that Kaiki became more quiet, she refused to practice that anymore and her life was soon a mundane routine. PoH had been making feeble attempts to cheer her up, but he knew it wasn't going to work. All he wanted was her to be happy again even if it was just one smile.

Days continued to pass like this and PoH doesn't know what to do. Unbeknownst to him all the sudden changes in his fluctlight when being concerned or sad about Kaiki has been affecting the tree. One night buds, tiny green, and fragile buds started showing up all over the branches. By the next morning they had all freshly bloomed and there about two hundred dozen tiny leaves all over his tree.

When Kaiki came out the hut both she and PoH were surprised. Kaiki's eyes flickered with delight, gasping at the sight of PoH's tree with green leaves she ran forward to caress the leaves as if still not believing it. PoH had a harder time believing it because he had looked like a desolated tree for about a hundred years already so why the sudden change.

A small, delicate, red flower's bud slowly extended to Kaiki and she watched as it bloomed right in front of her, that was the first of many that continued to bloom all around her, but seeing that flower bloom and the fact that PoH's tree was able to make life after being a dead looking tree for as long as she knew him it put a small smile on her face as the lights in her eyes flickered, "Sago....did-did you do this?"

No..I didn't.....

Both of them quiet, Kaiki looking at the wonder and PoH looking at her smile. Kaiki put her hand forward to take the flower but suddenly retracted it.

Take it, I want you to.

PoH reassured her. She put her hand out again and plucked the delicate red flower softly off it's stem. She stared at it in her hands, it was so beautiful and mesmerizing to her.

PoH suggest, and she did. By now there were dozens of blue and red flower's alike, "Sago, can you tell me everything about the Star King and why he would want you cut down," Kaiki asked seriously, PoH sighed he had hoped he wouldn't have to tell her, but you can't ever have your cake and eat it too.

Kaiki nodded and sat down against the tree's trunk. So PoH narrated everything from the beginning for her. How he entered and killed all those players and how he and Kirito(Star King) became enemies, all until the last battle, Inter-Intelligence War, where Kirito(Star King) turned him into a tree where he stayed for a hundred years before Kaiki formed.

Kaiki was silent for awhile as she stared at all the flowers in daze taking in the information PoH had just given her, "So your saying that Star King is the one who made you a tree....then doesn't that mean he could undo it?!" Kaiki's face brightened up at the thought of having PoH physically in front of her and not reacting at all to any of what he had said about the rest.

Wait...so you don't hate me?

"No...me and you are similar in some aspects, even though I might do it unwillingly I still killed and that is my fault," She said in a sad tone, "And you are repenting, look even your tree is affected by your change," She pointed at the leaves and flowers that had taken over every single branch.

"And besides I'm going to ask the Star King to change you back!" Kaiki cheerfully announces with a bright and wide smile on her face, stunning PoH.
