𝗡 𝗜 𝗖 𝗢Thankfully, my mothers visit was only a quick one. I love her to death but once she gets wind of something, she doesn't stop going on about it. She definitely doesn't know about Sofia because she would have mentioned it by now.
I think.
"I see you survived your mothers meeting after all." Gabriel comments as he walks into my office.
Samuel looks up at him from his chair. "Juliana isn't that bad, is she boss?"
I only grunt in response. My mother can be quite overbearing, so it's best to only have her around for short periods of time. Although I love her to pieces, she is the reason for most of my headaches.
"Let's not make this meeting about my mother, Samuel." I say as I gesture for Gabriel to take the seat beside him. "We're here to discuss business."
"Where's Michael?" Gabriel asks.
"The casino gambling all our money." Samuel comments sarcastically and I arch a brow at him. He's probably correct to be fair. Michael spends most of his time at the casino or in the club.
He really needs to get out more.
However, as my underboss, he really should be present for this meeting. He knows I struggle with concentrating for long periods of time.
"Updates on Theodore?" Gabriel quizzes.
"As far as we're aware he is in Holland." Samuel says, glancing over at him. He clears his throat and slowly returns his attention back to me. "You know he will come for the watch."
I nod, completely aware that Theo will come for it. After all it's only natural that he'd want the one object in the world that would incriminate him. Unfortunately for him, it also contains information about me which I don't particularly want anyone else to be in possession of.
So if Theodore wants it, he'll have to come and get it.
"So," Gabriel says. "If he is in Holland, what the hell is he doing there?"
I shrug my shoulders nonchalantly. "Who knows, who cares."
"It's only a matter of time before he comes for us." Samuel says and I glance over at him.
"I know," I say. "There's a lot of people that would come for us if they knew we were in possession of the watch."
Gabriel runs his hand along his jaw. "We'd be making a lot of enemies."
Nodding my head, I pick up the stress ball beside my computer, squeezing it in the palm of my hand. "I'm well aware of that. However, it's a risk we have to take. No one else can gain accesses to the watch, it'll ruin us."
Gabriel and Samuel nod in response. "And we can be one hundred percent sure that the Antonelli's are on our side?" Gabriel asks.
I give the stress ball another tight squeeze. "The Antonelli's have given me no reason not to trust them." I say. "Renzo is a good man and a good Don. I don't trust easily but I am confident we can rely on him."
