I held my breath as long as humanly possible, while trying (more so struggled) to untie my hands and feet from the rock weighing me down.

But I couldn't.

Not while i had my hands tied behind me.

It wasn't long before the urge to gasp for air, even when there was no air, became very hard to supress.

I tried my hardest but it still wasn't enough.

The salty ocean that came flooding my lungs was so excruciatingly painful, that it made me want to cry.

But the salty waters already did it for me.

It stinged.

Everything stinged.

My eyes, my ears, my lungs.

I tried screaming, but i needed air for that.

The lack of oxygen made my head hurt, and my heart pound in my ears.

The feeling of not being able to breathe, while also the pressure that came with the ocean, was so suffocating.

So suffocating, and yet, the coldness of the water lulled me.

As if trying to calm my panicking body and make me stop struggling to swim up the surface where air and oxygen resides, but deep down i knew, i wasn't going to come up.

At least, not this time.

I give in to the coldness of the sea as my sight fills up with darkness. Be it from me sinking down to the bottom of the ocean, or the lack of oxygen in my brain, i do not know.

I just wish that I could've said goodbye.

I closed my eyes to rest.
