You and Itto ran all the way to your home in the middle of the evening. Although you have no idea what time it currently was, you could still hear the faint sound of the televisions within your neighborhood. If you can recall correctly, the majority of the households you both passed were watching the recent episode of When the Leaves Fall.
With the fleeting feeling of adrenaline rushing through your veins while running hand in hand with Itto, for the first time after a while, you felt happy. The neighborhood was rather empty during these times so it really did feel like it was only you and Itto.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
"We've arrived, heh, I know we just became official earlier but.. is it wrong of me to be unwilling to let you go?" Itto scratched the back of his head while you walk on the stairs of the house's porch. "I'll pick you up tomorrow! But before leaving.. may I.. have one last kiss?"
You purse your lips and think for a moment, but when Itto immediately leans forward to steal a kiss, you push his face away. A pout made itself on the oni's feature when he got physically rejected, but he must respect your choice.
He takes a step back and raises his hand as a sign of farewell before turning around to walk away.
A guilty feeling made its way inside of you which prompted you to hop off the porch and chase after the oni. Luckily, he wasn't far off but your shoes did echo throughout the neighborhood. Its pitter patter against the sidewalk was enough for Itto to turn around, but was pleasantly surprised when something soft landed on top of his lips.
He gratefully kisses back, even supporting your weight on top of him by wrapping his arms around your waist to carry you. The kiss was rather soft, but sweet nonetheless. However, it was kinda scary how you couldn't feel your feet touching the ground.
Laughter escaped his lips upon realizing the surprise. Itto gently sets you down and brings one last kiss on your forehead.
"Alright my angel, you must return to your home, it's getting too late. I promise I'll pick you up tomorrow morning. I love you."
