After school I went home and fixed my self up a bit before going to meet Luke at the café. All I did was re-straighten my hair and put on some eyeliner and mascara.
I went downstairs and told my mom I was leaving for a little bit.
"Mom, I'm going to meet someone I'll be back later."
"Okay. Be back soon Mia. We're having guests over for dinner."
"Who?" I ask her.
"A lady I work with and her son. I think you go to school with him."
"Alright." I said while walking out of the house and started to walk towards the café. It didn't take me very long since I took a shortcut through an alley by my neighbors house that I take when I go to work.
I walk into the café and see Luke sitting in a booth by himself. I walk over to him and sit down in front of him.
"Hey there." I said.
"Hey." He said looking up from his phone. "Um, I got you a drink. I don't know if it's what you like but I figured you would." It's a double chocolate chip frappe.
"Yeah. Thanks. This is like the only thing I drink here." I say taking a sip of the frappe.
"So.. Tell me about you." He said while lacing his fingers together and putting his hands on the table.
"Is this gonna be like 21 questions?"
"That's exactly what it's gonna be like."
"Okay. Middle name?"
"Robert. Your middle name?"
"That's cute. And mine is Rose. Birthday?"
"July 16th. Favorite color?"
"Purple. Any siblings?"
"Yes. Two brothers, Jack and Ben. You?"
"I have one brother. His name is Jake."
"Nice. How old is he?"
"23. He's in college and I don't get to see him very often."
"Yeah. My brothers moved out a while ago so I barely see them anymore."
"Yeah. Jake actually just came down for the weekend but went back yesterday."

About an hour passed and we're still sitting here talking. Luke is actually a really cool guy. Not to mention totally gorgeous. He bought me another frappe even though I told him I was fine and didn't want another one, he still insisted he'd get one for me. Is it possible to have a crush on someone you've only really known for a short period of time? My phone started ringing, bringing me out of my thoughts. It was my mom.
"Hello mom."
"Mia, you need to start heading home and getting ready for dinner."
"Okay. I'll be there in a minute." I say then hang up.
"I'm sorry, that was my mom. I have to go home and get ready for dinner. Um, I'll see you at school and I'll text you." I sat standing up and grabbing my stuff.
"I had a really good time, Mia."
"Me too." I say smiling.
